Audio Trouble with all UHD titles since December

I have an LG 65C6 and 55C6. Ever since the Vudu app update in December the sound on my UHD movies stutters and renders them unwatchable.

I have my C6's passing 5.1 audio from the TV to a Denon 4400 receiver on one tv and to a Denon 4300 on another. I never had a problem with any UHD movie prior to December. I have passed on renting and buying many movies during the past 2 plus months because of this issue. Bandwith is not a problem as i am on a 150/150 internet connection. This happens regardless if I am wired or wireless. If i switch to HD only there is no issue, but i have a 4k TV and want to use it!!

I too am having this issue on some titles, baby driver flags and atmos Samsung tv for UHD, despicable me 3, and atomic blonde won?t flag UHD and soundtrack sounds distorted. This playback is Dolby Digital plus soundtrack. These are the only movies I have confirmed as I have other titles.

My previous comment was obviously deleted by Vudu. Anyways, this is a known issue and there is an ongoing thread here:

Vudu cannot replicate the issue, has said it is a problem with LG's firmware, and will not be commenting any further. So I would suggest finding another way to watch your UHD purchases, because we might be waiting a very long time for a fix.

Seems odd, fandango does not have any issues, but is not using Dolby Vision. If I limit the LG C6 bandwidth to 11 meg, using AC3200 bandwidth limiter qos option, there does not seem to be any dropouts, unless it's some specific issue with Dolby Vision, so some threshhold in LG firmware above that bandwidth specific to Dolby Vision??

Yeah - fandango now works fine for me in UHD
