    Unable To Sign-In To The VUDU App For Android TV


    I bought my Nvidia Shield android TV device on Monday. I signed into the VUDU app and it worked fine. On Tuesday I accidently deleted the app and then I reinstalled it. On the first sign-in attempt (after I reinstalled) I received the message "This email address is already in use with an account". Since then every time I try to sign-in I get the message: "invalid email address".

    I have tried signing in about 20 times to no avail. I deleted my VUDU account and created a new account with a different email address to no avail. (I am able to sign-in to the VUDU web site without any problem - but it's a no-go with the app.) I cleared data from the app, deleted it and reinstalled it again to no avail. I unplugged my Sheild TV to no avail. I was on the phone today to VUDU support for 2 hours and we accomplished exactly nothing. I got a case number and the phone rep is turning it in to his supervisor.

    Any ideas or suggestions for what to try next? All of the other apps on my ShieldTV work fine without any problems.

      Hi Felipe thank you for looking into this for me. I'm still unable to sign in. Have you been able to discuss this with the tech people/app developer to find out if they can fix it?

        Felipe here is some basic information in case you need it:
        1) My internet speed is 3.6 MBPS download and .93 MBPS Upload.
        2) The error code I received with the first failed log-in attempt: "This Email is already in use"
        Subsequent log-in attempts bring up the error code: "Invalid Email"
        3) Device: Nvidia Shield android TV box. Model P2897. Shield Android TV SW Version 6.3(24.32.406.472)
        4) I have a wired ethernet connection and my android TV box is 39" away from the modem. My android TV box is the only device connected to my modem. My modem is a Motorola Surfboard extreme cable modem Model: SB6121
        5) My ISP is Comcast
        6) I'm in Florida USA
        7) I don't use any VPN or proxy
        8) I'm on the most recent Nvidia Shield update for my android TV box. All other apps on this box work fine.

        As I mentioned the first day when I bought my Android TV box I was able to sign into the Vudu app on the first attempt. Everything worked good the first day. The problem started the next day right after I Uninstalled the app and then reinstalled the app. That seems to be the trigger that started the sign-in problem. I'm able to sign into the Vudu web site. However I'm unable to sign-in or create a new account from within the app. I created a new account on the Vudu web site but I still get the same error messages in the app.

        Is there a tech person there that has the Nvidia Shield Android TV box? If so my suggestion would be to have them first sign-in to the VUDU app, then uninstall the Vudu app, and then reinstall the Vudu app and see if he/she can still sign-in (or create a new account from within the app.) This would best be done with wired ethernet because that's how I'm set-up here on my end. Thank you.

          Thanks for sending over that very useful information. Let me look it over and consult an engineer to see what might be the issue here. I'll get back to you once I have something for you.

            I also just bought ba shield pro and I cannot log into Vudu. The password shows I typed but it stays grayed out and I don't have the option to continue. I'm logged in on other devices just fine.
