All new UHD content has stopped working, get "failed to find" error

Up until this week, all my UHD films played perfectly and now the newer ones have stopped playing in UHD.

I have not tested them all, but several of the Harry Potter films will no longer start. Nothing happens, just sits there at the loading screen. I tried Coco, and a few ones that I had redeemed recently, and none of those work either. All will play in HDX, but none will play in UHD. Coco and a few others give me a "failed find find playable version of content!" error as well.

Now my older films all seem to play fine, at least the ones I checked. All of these were redeemed throughout last year up until the holidays or around that time. Several of the newer ones did play a few weeks ago, so the issue started last week or this week on my end. I literally did a Potter marathon around 3 weeks ago with no problems in full UHD.

I have tried the built in app on my TV set and I have also tried casting from the app with both a phone and tablet. I have always used a phone or the TV set in the past, again, with no issues at all.

Any clue what's going on here? Pretty irritating to say the least, and I don't see many threads about it online. A few here in there, but nothing widespread unless I've missed something.

What device and TV are you using for UHD playback? PM me your email address on Vudu as well.

      Hi Felipe...

I have two Roku ultra. UHD/HDR are not working on both Ultra boxes since about 2pm today. Was working this morning. I am unable to play anything but HDX. UHD/HDR hangs on a black screen and then exits VUDU returning to the Roku main menu on both boxes. I hope this is resolved soon. UHD/HDR IS working on the Ultra's from FANDANGO with the same movies.

EDIT: My TV's are Samsung MU Series 6.

The original post was created over the weekend, that's why I replied this morning when I got back in.

I'll ask if this is a known issue or not.

I'm getting this on my Vizio P55-C1, since November last year. Vizio has been rolling out a new firmware that appears to have caused older content to revert HDX, instead of 2160p Dolby Vision. All recently released titles play in HDR10, I prefer Dolby Vision.

                          Good Evening,

I am having the same error for new UHD releases that I have purchased through vudu recently. I am streaming from my galaxy note 8 to a Chromecast 4k device. The first few movies I bought on UHD worked with no problem but now this error. Hopefully you can help.

                          Thank you.

I pre-ordered Coco and some other movies in UHD and now I can't watch them. This is very upsetting...

I am watching it on an Android TV - LeEco Super4 X55. Please help

Having the same issue here trying to play newer UHD titles for the Chromecast Ultra 4K device. Older UHD titles I purchased from last year play in UHD 4K just fine.
