Same issue with Chromecast 4K Ultra.

Blade Runner, IT, Thor:Ragnarok will not cast. Other UHD titles work just fine.

Vudu knows about the Chromecast Ultra UHD issue and a fix is coming soon. There are several other threads about this issue on the forum.

It's not just new UHD content that doesn't work. And not just from "Chromecast". I've been wanting to post on the forum for the past week but haven't had time. It doesn't matter what UHD movie is played. It's completely random. A few weeks ago there was a complete meltdown. No UHD would play from Ultra's.

Same here buddy. I called customer support yesterday, and they said because my TV wasn't on their "official list", they couldn't do anything about it. Such BS! I'm clearly using a new 2017 model TV, and an Android TV on top of that. I'm using their own Vudu Android TV app, and my HDR/4K TV is getting errors when it never did before. And it's not just new movies like you said. I'm having issues playing ALL of my UHD movies. And this better be fixed by the time Black Panther gets released... I still can't watch Coco with my son.

Because my 2017 Sony X900e was not on the verified list for 4K HDR support, I just went out and bought a Chromecast Ultra. To say the least, I am very upset to have this error. Not sure if I should return the Chromecast, or wait it out.

What is the status of this issue? I'm seeing it on my Chromecast Ultra: "Failed to find a playable version of this content."

You can cast from your pc using the Chrome browser and then control with your mobile device..(pause, play, stop).

I don't think it let's you cast as UHD from the browser, but I could be wrong. I'll have to try that again, but orepre sure when I did it wasn't an option.

When you control it, do you use the Vudu app on the mobile device?

                          97 UHD
                          860 HDX

On both my phone and tablet once the cast starts from my pc, a cast icon appears in the upper left corner. I then am able to control with either device at that point. Im using android devices...but give it a try.

On the screen it says UHD upper right and HDR upper center Dolby Atmos in between the two on the screen...no DV for me tho.

I've been playing UHD from Chrome to the TV and is been working perfectly now. Android tv has built-in 4K casting
