I take it back. 20 minutes later or so, it got the same playback error. "Try again later." It's definitely not tied to whatever device is on the "official list". It's an issue with UHD playback, and they're not admitting to it.

I do have an Android device but don't use it much. I use the iOS device more often but I can see both once I start the cast from the PC to see...

I sent the requested information a week ago with no response (although the requested information probably has nothing to do with the actual bug, it's on the VUDU side of things). Emailed customer support two weeks ago with no response. Can we get refunds on these somehow?

VUDU is not getting any more of my money.

I'd like a refund on my Coco and Black Panther UHD purchase as well, if this keeps up

Never said it was the answer..but an option while they solve the app issue. Until then, I'll use the Chrome browser instead of just sitting on my titles. You do you.

Is there an update on when this issue will be resolved? It has been months & I still cannot watch my movies. & yes I know I can cast from a PC, that doesn't help.

Can't even watch my movies in HDX now, that have the UHD option. I hope you are close to a fix or I'm going to be asking for a bunch of refunds and putting in a complaint.

Still get "failed to find a playable version of this content" on new UHD movies. Vizio P Series Chromecast. There are numerous topics on the VUDU forums about not being able to cast UHD movies going back to Jan. There have been a few random "working on it" replies from VUDU but nothing significant about the problem or when it is going to be fixed.

It's been almost 4 months, does anyone at VUDU have any idea when, or even if, we will be able to cast UHD movies again?

(yes, I know we can try to cast from a PC, that's not a fix)

Yes, please update us on this Vudu.

Casting from a PC is not only not a fix, you can not get Dolby Vision this way.

Alot of TV owners are dependent on the Chromecast Ultra to get both Vision and Atmos concurrently.

                      Thank you.

I watched "Only the Brave" by casting from a PC and got both Dolby Vision and Atmos so not sure why you're not?

                          Hello All

Thank you for your patience. We have rolled out a fix yesterday. There is some fine tuning still to be done, but the Vudu Mobile app will now cast to Chromecast and Chromecast Ultra properly in all qualities.

                          Happy Streaming

                          Thanks
                          Tam

I?ve purchased Saving Private Ryan on UHD and it?s only giving me HDX quality. I?m using a PlayStation 4 and my tv is Sony Bravia XBR-55X850B. Any reason it won?t play in UHD?

The Sony Playstation 4 is not UHD enabled for Vudu. This is why you are only getting HDX quality.

I am having the same issue. I?ve tried playing multiple UHD movies from my TiVo Bolt and they won?t start. I?ve played UHD movies on it before, but they just won?t start today. Any insights?
