This is my first in these forums and before any administrator asks the general questions I will cover the basics.
My internet service is 85 up and 85 down.
I have 85M up and 85M down to a Dallas server.
I have 54M up and 85M down to a Rimouski, QC server hosted by Telus.
I have 76M up and 80M down to a Victoria, BC server hosted by Shaw Communications.
I have 84M up and 83M down to a Culiacan server hosted by Triara in Mexico.
I have 80M Up and 85 down to a LA server hosted by Atlantic Metro
I have 85 up and 84 down to a Ohio Server hosted by Beyond Hosting LLC.
My friends have worked with me to test speeds of data over the continental US as we are scattered all over. Moving data files over 30 to 60 GB in size, here and there looking for the problems that I see mentioned while reading through these forums.
My computer is running an I7 at 5.4GHZ, has 16GB RAM, GUI that support 4 26? monitors at 1920X1200 and am using a PCIE RAM Drive (250GB for OS) and then 4TB of Raid 5 space on the main.
I also am running a data server next to it that is hosting 24TB of RAID 5 as I rent out back up storage space to people.
I have watched movies at the highest resolution on my PC from Amazon, Crackle, OnlineMoviesPro, Hulu, mylifetime, Yidio, Putlocker, igloo, google play, Netflix, snagfilms, popcornflix, youtube, reddit, entmovies?.
I am a member of a gaming community and have pGermany, Finland, Greece, Australia, Japan? And have hosted games with players linlayed Battlefield 4 as well as other games on servers in Sweden, king to my server/PC.
My Vudu speed test is 20M down and 17M up.
I have never had any problems playing games, hosting games, hosting data, moving data, sharing my movies streaming to friends over my VPN setup.
I even did an acid test with friends in LA, Manitoba, New York, Ohio, Florida and England and they were all watching a separate movie from my sever at the same time. England stuttered 3 times, but geez.
The only problem is when I watch something from VUDU.
I will not purchase any more movies, rent any more movies or deal with the tech support that tells me I need to reboot my computer, do a traceroute or ping this or that blame my ISP for my problems.
The only time a problem exists is when VUDU is involved, except for the England incident.
The problem is obvious and undeniable. Well, maybe deniable to VUDU it is deniable.
