Collection count just dropped by exactly 50?

The number of movies in my collection just dropped by exactly 50.

I have no idea which 50 since I haven't found an easy way to make a list of my collection, so I'm not sure if anything is actually missing or if the count is just off.

I tried relinking my UV library with no change.

Any idea what would cause this?

I can take a look at your account if you would like. Not sure if it will show me anything though. Send me your VUDU account email address in a PM.

Re: Collection count just dropped by exactly 50?

I have painstakingly copy/pasted everything out of my account history and made a full list of my movies.

The list has exactly the number I should have (well, there actually seem to be 5 extra entries, I have not tracked those down yet, probably tv episodes I didn't weed out), so it appears 50 movies from my UV library are no longer displaying.

I have found 4 of the titles so far which are in my UV library but do not show as owned, and will work on finding the other 46

Is there a way to refresh my UV connection? I unlinked and relinked, but I'm not sure if that was enough, since nothing vanished from my movies list while it was unlinked...

      Later on....

I tracked down most of the missing movies, they were all added around the same time period.

Since relinking the UV account did not work, I unlinked, created a testing vudu account, linked my uv account, and everything showed up there!

So I waited for all the movies to depopulate from my real vudu account, then unlinked my UV account from the testing vudu account, relinked to my main UV account, and then everything repopulated including all 50 movies that went missing! So my issue is resolved.

Never seen that before.... I guess on the plus side, I have a list of all my movies in excel now.

Any idea what could cause UV movies to vanish? Anyone else have this happen?

Do you have your UV account shared? I don't see this problem but I don't have any of the accounts shared.

No, no sharing is used at all.

I would bet many problems like this are caused by getting movies at sites other than Vudu.

vudu supports ultraviolet, so no one expects their movies to vanish regardless of the retailer, so your post does not address the issue in a useful manner.

I have refrained from commenting in the past but I will now since you chose to "help" here: your posts do not seem helpful and frequently have an unpleasant tone. Perhaps your tone just comes across poorly in text and that was not your intent.

Apologies for derailing things with that, I won't be commenting further to this user.

Back to the issue at hand:

It almost seems like the link to my UV account got "stale" or something, so that is why I was inquiring. Nothing I purchased directly on vudu was removed as that does not rely on a UV link.

I have had certain titles disappear on Vudu in the past that were purchased from CinemaNow namely certain Twilight movies. They eventually reappeared. I'm afraid at what will happen to our TargetTicket purchases on March 2, 2015 when TargetTicket goes away forever?

Really? There was nothing wrong with me stating my conjecture of what could be the problem. I took no shots at anyone. I have no less right to post here than you or anyone else. Tell me what is disrespectful, negative, or wrong in my post, and I'll gladly edit it to your standards. whether you expect it to happen has nothing to do with whether it's happening.

TargetTicket purchases will be transferred to CinemaNow beginning 3/7/15. If something you've purchased isn't available on CinemaNow you'll get a store credit.
