Why all the buffering all of a sudden?

Can't even get through a movie without buffering every 30-60 seconds, until tonight I never have had this happen. Even switching to SD did not help.

Thinking that it may be my device (Sony blu-ray player), I switched over to using my Xbox One (both devices are hard wired to network) and am still getting them.

Running speed tests on my internet connection shows good speeds, so what's up?

Most of the time all you need to do is reboot your device and the buffering stops. Have you tried that?

Yes, it didn't help. After that, I switched to a different device and it still didn't help (even on sd quality).

Things like this is why my family doesn't want to move to streaming. Once we own the digital rights, we should be able to watch off line.

Technically you can, but most home theater devices don't have the storage to support it. Offline viewing (for purchases, not rentals) is supported on computers and mobile devices, and some home theater devices like the Western Digital Live Hub. The original VUDU STB had a hard drive and download capability.

It's not Vudu and it's not your device ... it is your Internet Service Provider. They will throttle your speeds, after you reach a certain threshold, it varies from provider to provider.

No, in my case it is not. Netflix always works fine in hd, never a buffering. Like I said, Vudu was buffering even in sd.
