Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom 4K Code Redemption Redeemed As HD

Hello, I redeemed my 4K digital code on Vudu and it redeemed as HD and appears as so in Movies Anywhere and iTunes. Is there a way to undo the redemption to redeem in Movies Anywhere first to receive the 4K version? I found this Google doc that shows where to redeem codes.

That's strange, are you sure it's a UHD code? I redeemed a UHD code about an hour ago and it redeemed in UHD but I bought the disc so I know where the code came from.

    154 UHD
    828 HDX
    3 SD

Yeah. It redeems UHD on Vudu. Send pics of code slip and receipt and Vudu should fix for you.

I contacted Vudu support and they told me to contact Universal Pictures and tell them what happened, which I did. I'm still waiting on a response.

Where did you redeem it under? When I clicked on redeem Vudu code, the code wouldn't work. I had to redeem it under digital copy and it worked, but has the UV/MA symbol on the screen. The code worked there, thought maybe it redeemed within UV, which doesn't give you a UHD version, but it's not in my UV redeemed list, so it had to redeem through Vudu.

First, "Vudu code" is for Vudu promos only; all movie redemptions from code slips are "digital copy". Like virtually all other 2018 Universal titles, JWFK is MA-only so it won't appear at UV in any resolution. (The other four Jurassic films are UV/MA at HDX & lower, but MA-only in UHD per the Google sheet and my own redemptions. Edit: Unless you're a FiOS or Kaleidescape customer or still use UV's license-sharing features, UV licenses for Universal UV/MA titles are now useless as only Vudu honors them; FandangoNow doesn't honor UV licenses on MA titles. In addition to non-MA studios & TV, UV licenses remain relevant for Sony & WB titles in some cases, such as Sony 4KTVs with the 4K Ultra store and WB's Movies All Access app.)

Was this a code redemption, or Instawatch? I bought Jurassic World 5-Movie Collection 4K in-store, but Instawatch redeemed in HDX instead; I had to manually redeem the five codes in the package at Vudu to get them in UHD. If it's Instawatch, redeem the slip code for UHD unless/until Walmart/Vudu fixes Instawatch. Otherwise, you got the wrong code in the package (i.e., code at bottom of slip is *not* 2094753, the UHD slip's code per the Google sheet); that can only be fixed thru Universal, not Vudu.

Final edit: I just noticed the announcement that Universal has withdrawn from UV as of 9/18, which further explains why you're not seeing them in UV. As I said earlier, Universal UV licenses had already become all but worthless.

I usually just go to the Google Redeeming site and use whatever link they provide there:

              https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...mh4/edit#gid=0

I used the one for Vudu because I usually stay away from redeeming on Movies Anywhere as much as possible.

If it is a MA code, redeeming at MA is your best option because it guarantees you'll get what's promised.

You never have to do a blind redemption at MA.

I guess I trust Vudu more than MA because it's been around for so much longer? I haven't had an MA code not redeem correctly on Vudu yet.

MA is backed by Disney, it's not going anywhere.

MA allows you to test a code (when logged out) to see what it redeems as. Vudu forces you to do a blind redemption. If you know what you're getting before redemption, there is no need to scour over random spreadsheets, hoping that things work as planned.

The other bit is that when things go wrong, MA customer service is leagues better than Vudu. I had an issue with a MA redemption, and was told it was escalated to senior support reps and would be resolved within 24-48 hours by the phone rep. In actuality it was resolved by the time I got off the phone.

Vudu support on the other hand is legendary for delays. When Vudu works, it's amazing. When something goes wrong, support tickets take months to resolve, unless you're lucky to have one of the forum mods step in and help.
