    Samsung Q7F sound drops

Like the other poster I have sound drop issues using Vudu. I believe it to be Vudu's problem because 1) it only happens on atmos sound tracks 2) it is consistent in the same spots of the video 3) I tried both wired and wifi connections 4) I tried 3 different cables from the tv to my receiver 5) I had no other things plugged into either the units at all

We have reported the issue to Samsung and my understanding is they identified and fixed the problem. So it should be fixed in the next TV firmware update, but the timing of that is up to Samsung.

There is a new firmware 1202, I have not received this new firmware on my tv yet but I hope this is the one that fixes the problem.

I downloaded the 1202.3 firmware to a USB stick and installed on my samsung Q9F 65", and it indeed fixes

            1) audio dropouts
            2) fast forward, rewind, chapter search spinny wheel locks up forever

What is interesting is the build date of the firmware is 11/1... But the release date is 12/20 on Samsung's website. The firmware still has not been released via Samsung's automated downloading system. Nothing like being a alpha tester for their firmware... But I'd say things are green.

My wife and I were so frustrated with UHD audio dropouts, we had started watching titles in HDX which is far from optimal..

1202 did fix the problem for me. I manually installed it because it didn't show up yet in the auto update. Watched a uhd w/ atmos thru vudu tv app and had no problems. YEAH!

Agree with Jim K. The 1202.3 firmware works well and fixes two problems:
                1. audio dropouts and stuttering on UHD Vudu titles
                2. forward, reverse, chapter selection now work

Sadly it is necessary to download the firmware to a USB stick from Samsung's website as it is not available for auto-installation.

Thanks Vudu for leaning on Samsung to fix their tvs!
