    Disc + Digital shipping charges

I have noticed that some titles listed in the disc + digital section of Vudu are now charging $5.99 shipping charges. This is disappointing since I have bought many D+D titles over the years, LOVING the service's primary feature/benefit--immediate access to a digital copy--which no one else offers. Frankly, the site needs to promote it WAY more as it is a great way to enjoy both streaming and building a great collection.

The new shipping fees typically add about $30% to the cost of an average $19.99 blu ray. This makes the benefit of the service much less appealing. Some of the D+D titles are less than $10 so by adding $5.99 tot he price, you are increasing the cost of the purchase by over 60% which is pretty extreme....

I also order titles on Walmart.com and there you can order multiple titles so your total cost exceeds $35 (usually two new releases will exceed that amount) qualifying you for free shipping. Yet on Vudu, there is no option to order two D+D titles together to qualify you for free shipping. You must order each title individually. Might I suggest that Vudu changes this policy and the "shopping cart" on disc + digital so if there is a $5.99 shipping charge, we can purchase more titles to avoid that fee? Everyone loves free shipping and this would generate more business for Vudu while also increasing customer loyalty.

Better yet, make all D+D titles include free shipping again, which is what it has largely been in the past. Thanks!

This is always how it has been, due to the fact that Vudu either can't, or won't, implement a shopping cart for D+D titles. D+D has free shipping when the disc has free shipping on Walmart.com. Walmart usually has free shipping for pre-orders, so if you stick to new release D+D titles, you'll almost always get free shipping. After release though, shipping usually gets added, which also destroys the value proposition of D+D.

Usually it's only new titles, often first week that have free shipping, but I've seen some only offer it for a few days.

Check back daily for anything you could possibly want to buy. I say daily and not just Tuesday as some stuff releases on other days too, though rarely.

The fact that they charge shipping, when Amazon often offers at same price, but without shipping and that Vudu charges the shipping on each titles means I unfortunately buy more at Amazon instead of Vudu where I would prefer.

Likewise Instawatch discs on WM allows you to combine titles for lower or free shipping, even when one title might charge.

I also don't like how there's no tax on digital only purchases but D+D are taxed. I get that a physical disc in the store would be taxed as well. But it's just odd how that works.

I know I pay sales tax on my digital purchases. Must be some strange tax law where you live if you're not being charged.
