Vudu Forum Guidelines

The Vudu Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Vudu experience. Here, Vudu customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Vudu and Vudu -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Vudu customers with questions and/or problems with their VUDU service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Vudu Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

Please post all comments in English. When posting a comment in the Vudu Forums, please conduct yourself in a respectful and civil manner. While we respect that you may feel strongly about an issue, please leave room for discussion.

Vudu reserves the right to refrain from posting and/or to remove user comments, including comments that contain any of the following:

1. Obscenities, defamatory language, discriminatory language, or other language not suitable for a public forum
2. Email addresses, phone numbers, links to websites, physical addresses or other forms of contact information
3. "Spam" content, references to other products, advertisements, or other offers
4. Spiteful or inflammatory comments about other users or their comments
5. Comments that may potentially violate the DMCA or any other applicable laws
6. Comments that discuss ways to manipulate Vudu products/services, including, but not limited to, reverse engineering, video extraction, and file conversion.

Additionally, please keep in mind that although Vudu retains the right to monitor, edit, and/or remove posts within Vudu Forums, it does not necessarily review every comment. Terms of Use - User Comments, Feedback, Reviews, Submissions

For all reviews, comments, feedback, postcards, suggestions, ideas, and other submissions disclosed, submitted or offered to Vudu, on or through this Site, by e-mail or telephone, or otherwise disclosed, submitted or offered in connection you use of this Site (collectively, the "Comments") you grant Vudu a royalty-free, irrevocable, transferable right and license to use the Comments however Vudu desires, including, without limitation, to copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and/or sell and /or distribute such Comments and/or incorporate such Comments into any form, medium or technology throughout the world.

UV movies ported to Vudu missing from Movies Anywhere library. Used to be there.

    yeah i get that everytime i raise the issue with them, then they will say they refresh the link bet MA-VUDU-UV but nothing really happens.

      has there been any update on this from either side? its been week. and we don't get response from VUDU forum admins as well. does it mean these movies will never port to MA when UV shutdown?

        I'm still waiting. They've basically told me that they've done all they can, and the issue is on MA's end. I don't even care who's responsible, I just want it fixed. Would be nice if Vudu and MA support could work together to resolve this issue.

            Exact same thing here. Accidentally disconnected UV from Vudu, reconnected now but they are all still missing from Movies Anywhere. Movies Anywhere said it's Vudu's fault, Vudu have just not responded to the ticket I opened a week ago. Currently missing 100s of movies from MA.

              DO NOT UNLINK YOUR UV LINK WITH VUDU. THIS HAS BEEN STATED SEVERAL TIMES BY US AND BY THE FOLKS AT UV. DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

                This issue isn't affected by those who unlinked and relinked. People who haven't unlinked their accounts (which is most) is still having the same issue. It's because UV is deleting the duplicate and lower quality of UV titles you own.

                  That was my situation. Didn't unlink. Still experienced the loss of MA titles.

                      wow. is this VUDU's official response to this issue? UV is linked but it never get synched back to MA. Per checking in MA transaction log, you can find the movie title there but it never really add back to your MA library. So basically, what is happening is when UV gets disconnected to VUDU, either intentional or not, its will remove the Movie in MA. However, when you reconnect your UV to VUDU, it get synched back only to your VUDU library but not in MA but you will see in your MA transaction logs that its trying to do something on this title whether add it or something. Also noticed that this issue only started when in Vudu, when you reconnect your UV, it creates a new transaction log. Now this is no longer happening when you reconnect UV to your Vudu account.

                        This is UV's official response actually. We are just mirroring this message to prevent any further issues before UV completely shuts down. This is not anything new. We have been saying this for months.

                          There is obviously an issue here because I havent linked my library from Vudu for nearly 6mths now and I have still lost movies!

                            I think what UV is only trying to say on their message is, don't unlink or close your UV library as you may forgot to reconnect when they shutdown. the issue of losing the library only will happen after the shutdown when you are unlinked. but prior to shutdown in event it gets disconnected, it should be able to reconnect without any issue. is this understanding incorrect?

                              i just got that reply too.. from the list only child's play is not MA as if I don't know that. I am concern and full of doubt how they reply us

                              Movies Anywhere only supports titles from certain film studios. After reviewing your account we found out the titles are added to your Vudu account and both UltraViolet and Movies Anywhere services are linked properly. As well most of the titles are Movies anywhere compatible, but there are some that are not.

                              Just to name some of them:
                              • Baby Mama
                              • Barbie as Rapunzel
                              • Barbie as The Island Princess
                              • Barbie The Princess and the Pauper
                              • Barbie Fairytopia: Mermaidia
                              • Barbie in The Nutcracker
                              • Barbie Presents Thumbelina

                                First reply I got from vudu told me that the movies that dissapeared probably aren't on MA, then they told me how to make sure I've connected to the right ultraviolet account, then they told me how to check I'm not applying a filter in Vudu. They don't seem to be understanding the issue at all. And I had to wait over a week for any responce at all.

                                When I emailed MA they replied straight away and told me that everything on my MA accounts looks fine and something seems to be stopping messages transferring from Vudus side.
