Brilliant, mine are back too, thank you.

This particular issue that most of us are experiencing isn't movies that are not MA compatible nor items which had license removals from VUDU. The issue are refunds created by UV for duplicate licenses that get passed through VUDU as refunds to MA which remove them from MA yet don't actually remove anything from VUDU as there are still existing active UV licenses.

I came across this little gem of a statement (see below) from the "Terms of Service." The link was graciously provided by FelipeF: Forum Moderator.

    https://www.vudu.com/content/termsofservice.html

Interestingly enough, the red area seems to conveniently answer the question of any missing titles purchased from VUDU. However, when I first started to use VUDU (2013) as I researched the service, which at the time I didn't fully understand how everything worked, digital copies where a new thing back then. I contacted both VUDU and Ultraviolet. Understanding a little bit about copyrights, intellectual properties, etc.. I SPECIFICALLY asked what would happen if the company decided to drop the licensing, or the movie studio decided to no longer license a movie, which I've purchased in good faith, what would happen to my digital copy of the movie? I asked if I would lose it? I was told, "NO." They added, once you purchase a digital movie/copy, you are in fact purchasing a copy of the license to own and that cannot be taken from you, regardless of what happens in the future. It will forever be available to you in the UV digital locker. I then asked, what if either VUDU or UV went out of business? The reply is that I would be notified and given a period of time to download the digital copy/movie to a storage system of my own and preference, Cloud, Hard Drive, Flash Drive etc..

I guess I was lied to and conned the entire time. Also, upon reading more into the "Terms of Service," I've learned that what I was told is nearly a complete opposite of what is true. Honestly, I'm beginning to think that Prime Video might be a better place to build a library and I won't have the fear of Amazon going out of business, and I won't worry about losing content I paid for.

"Vudu's authority to provide Content to you is subject to restrictions imposed by the movie studios and other distributors that make Content available to Vudu ('Content Providers')." "These Content Providers may designate limited periods of time when Vudu is prohibited from renting, selling and/or streaming certain Content to you, including Content that you have previously purchased. You will be able to again rent, purchase and/or view such Content at the conclusion of these restricted periods."

    And...

    "
You understand and agree that the Content is licensed by Vudu from Content Providers. Copyrights in the Content are owned by the Content Providers and protected by the copyright laws of the United States, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. Except as expressly provided herein, no right, title or interest in the Content is transferred to you. All Content is licensed, not sold, transferred or assigned to you."

For the folks who have VUDU movies that won't 'port over to MA. The only thing I've learned about this is that MA doesn't have rights to ALL movies and they won't show movies they don't have licensing for. Also, MA also doesn't list movies that I believe they find questionable even if they sync with the provider (there is a short list available that does not include everything they won't sync, but told me the best way to find out is to search for the movie in question and if MA doesn't have it, they won't list it). In VUDU, the movie description needs to show the MA logo, or it won't sync with MA. However, I have found this to not be a dependable method to find out if a VUDU movie will sync with MA.

The easiest way to recall or understand how this all melds together is to think of MA as a 'HUB, yet not all are welcome there and not all roads lead there. UV is/WAS your digital locker where your VUDU movies, and some other movies from companies that were/are linked to UV were held. I think VUDU was/is the one who made the licensing deals, sold the product, and collected the money. Although NOW, VUDU might also be serving as your digital locker...I don't know.

    My 2 cents, YMMV.

Vudu is only available within the United States. The use of a VPN goes against our Terms of Service. This might be why you are having issues with movies syncing across platforms.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is so I may just be ignorant about this whole issue? I checked my UV account and I'm missing some titles as well. Most the missing ones are the ones that have "Extended" version or "Director's cut" but all of those are now showing on MA. So this means that if they're missing on UV, they're available on MA. Nothing is actually missing on Vudu since they're on either digital locker.

None from me. I've lost more movies in the meantime. I am convinced that this has more to do with licensing issues and with UV going out of business. VUDU itself doesn't know it's left hand from it's right. I oughta' shut my yap, or I'll probably lose more movies. VUDU is in the business of SELLING and renting movies and are now trying to get into the "streaming" biz with their "Hey we got free movies!" baloney. I hate it when I purchase a digital movie (the prices are outrageous, lately) only to see it in the "free" offerings the following month. Anyway, VUDU will NEVER correct a missing titles issue. They will tell about how you must have a different account, email, or that you did something wrong. Then, they claim they have no "record" of the purchase and suggest that you look through your Account History for the purchase. Have you seen that part of your account? There are only ten items per page with no way to search by name, beginning letter, nothing...I've never made it to the end but I've gone about pages in...currently I'm showing about 2000 purchases, so at about 10 per page, that comes to about 200 pages--no to mention that multiple D2D purchases are listed as ONE item, as are bundles and seasons.

Sorry for the rant. It's been a rough couple of days.

Regarding the MA, VUDU, UV issue, it's not MA's fault. It's is VUDU's and UV's (for going out of business...saw this coming years ago) fault.

I've lost dozens of movies and if they are some of my favorites I simply re-buy them. Example, I've purchased Highlander and Event Horizon at least 4 times. It's not worth the stress to fight with VUDU. They will not budge, especially when it comes to missing movies. It sucks but it also seems they've cornered the market and I'm not going to waste my time chasing down multiple streaming services to watch a movie. I've kept ALL my discs and continue to buy them (the ones I like the most). I simply cannot trust a company with overseas-based customer service and whom can't even upgrade their program to include a "cart" for purchasing, forcing buyers to go at it one movie at a time.

That's my 2 cents and YMMV.

PS: DON'T DISCONNECT UV!!! It used to work, sometimes, in the past, Now It doesn't fix anything and will just cause you more problems, which VUDU or UV are NOT going to fix.
The annoying thing is, "try disconnecting and reconnecting ultraviolet" used to be the go to advice for any UV related issue.
I'm still checking this thread daily in the hope that Vudu customer service will provide some customer service but I'm not holding my breath.
