Batman Returns - A/V Out of Sync

I own this in UHD. Watching tonight, the audio is out of sync with the video by a quick second or two, and it's noticeable when they are talking. Watching on a TCL Roku TV. Tried it on my PS4, same issue.

FelipeF can this be looked into?

I think I might have fixed the issue by switching my audio settings back to normal. I will try and check it out later today to confirm.

Okay, that didn't fix it. Whenever it starts, no matter where it's at in the movie, it's out of sync. I have to rewind or fast forward to get it to sync correctly. The HDX works fine, so it seems to be an issue with the UHD transfer...

I tried it on my LG TV and it seems fine throughout (other than the fact 4K isn't kind to special effects makeup from 30 years ago

So it doesn't seem like a content issue. And since you saw the issue on your PS4 (which doesn't support UHD) it's definitely not a content issue (the HDX was encoded from a different source years ago - and I see the audio is actually DD+ 2.0) and not likely a specific device/app issue.

What are you using for audio (receiver, TV speakers, etc)? And if using a receiver/ARC/etc can you try with the TV speakers directly? If you do experience it via the TV speakers it would narrow it down to the device (app/hardware/settings/etc), otherwise probably some weird ARC/receiver compatibility or delay?

I'm only using TV speakers from TCL Roku TV. I did notice first that the audio was set to "speech" and when I changed it to "normal" it corrected it. I then paused and continued watching about 30 minutes later, and it was out of sync again. This seemed to be the only title. I know there is a Roku update being released that I haven't got yet, so maybe that will help out with this issue.

So the time you saw it on HDX from PS4 was also HDMI directly plugged into the TCL TV? That would more likely indicate something in the TV audio processing/output vs content or decoding (since for PS4 it decodes on the console, of course). If we can reproduce it on a Roku TCL in the office we'll report it to Roku...

One more question: you weren't switching between or using the remote control or mobile app audio, were you? That can make things trickier, I'm sure.

I never tested the HDX on the PS4, just the TCL, with HDMI plugged in directly, and just the regular Roku remote never used the mobile app. I will try both qualities tomorrow on both devices if I can remember before I head out for the week, otherwise it will be around the weekend.

I wonder if it's only this time or something else. I watched Atomic Blonde the other day it the sound and picture was quite off as well. Couldn't get it to go away no matter what. Make it impossible to watch. Watched a bunch of other titles since though and no problems with those.
