WalMart receipt thrown away before I saw deal

On the World War Z Blu-Ray I bought there is a sticker stating that I was eligible to get a bonus digital movie "The Big Short", however, it states I need to see the receipt for details and the code. As I got this as a gift, I have not been able to access the receipt as it was thrown away.

How can I redeem to get the Big Short, without it? It was paid for with credit card, if that makes any difference at all.

The code is printed on the receipt. It's like a gift certificate.

I realize that, but the receipt was thrown away and I have no way to input the code now.

Right. What I mean is, it's like misplacing a GC or cash. The receipt says "CANNOT BE REPLACED" on them right by the bonus code.

You could possibly reach out to Walmart if you know the approximate date of purchase and the CC# used to make the purchase. They may be able to get you a duplicate receipt.

WM is doing a lot of these and I?m not a fan. You buy an old cheap Blu-ray with digital and you get a newer movie that?s digital only no disc.

I think they recently starting switching to not needing the receipt anymore as too many people complained and started putting the code in the package on newer items.

What OP is talking about is getting a free older movie for free when buying a new one. It's usually advertised as a sticker on the case.

For example, OG Bayformers (digital) w/Bumblebee, or Almost Famous (digital) with Rocketman.

What you're talking about are the specific packages that advertise a digital only film so that Walmart can sell it on retail before others (like the John Wick trilogy with 1+2 on disc, but 3 as digital only, or the Spider-Man Homecoming disc + Far From Home digital bundle).

                Same problem. Different way.

John Wick bundle required receipt as well to get John Wick 3. If you lost the receipt you were screwed. That was my point. Regardless if its an old movie disc or new movie disc.

Almost Famous / Rocketman, Spider-Man, Men In Black and the newer ones dont require a receipt they use a punch out card instead. They all should have been that way.

Ah. There must be a regional difference then with some of them. The Rocketman I picked up didn't have a card. Just a sticker on the front (same as Bumblebee) and a printed code on the receipt.

I don't think you can. If you have the original credit card you might be able to get Walmart to do a receipt lookup, or do a refund and a rebuy, but that's the only thing I can think of.

The codes are treated like cash. Anyone who has the receipt can redeem the code for the movie.
