The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience. Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Purchased Disney Movies Anywhere Edition but it's not showing up there...

    Purchased Disney Movies Anywhere Edition but it's not showing up there...

    I just purchased Captain America: Winter Soldier last night and purchased the Disney Movies Anywhere edition from Vudu. When I log in to Disney Movies Anywhere, however, the movie is not in my collection.

    What steps, if any, do I need to take in order to actually "own" the Disney Movies Anywhere edition?

    In order to receive your digital copy of the Disney (or any of their affiliated movie studios) movie you have purchased, you will need to redeem the code found on the voucher inside of the packaging. Disney still requires that their digital redemptions are done manually. Disney movies that do include a digital copy will say DIGITAL HD on the top of the front cover, this is usually the case with Blu-ray disc purchases.

      Likewise I personally redeemed some titles on Vudu but didn't get the points on Disney Movie Rewards.

      Called Disney and 2 min later they told me to redeem a second time and the points would appear and they did.

      Basically the answer is that if you have a Disney movie and you want to 1)see it on Vudu, 2)add to your Disney Movies Anywhere account; 3) get your Disney Movie Rewards points it's just better to redeem direct with Disney as it will do all three at once and you don't have to do two it twice on Vudu and Disney.

      There are exceptions.

      Once the title was appearing on Vudu but hadn't appeared on DMA yet. So I redeemed on Vudu so that I could watch ASAP and then redeemed later on Disney for DMA as well as Rewards.

      Also if you PURCHASE directly from Vudu a digital only copy it adds the DMA and rewards automatically.

        I purchased this via VUDU.com. I did not purchase it in a store and then redeem the code.

        Notice that the picture denotes this as a Disney Movies Anywhere version on VUDU.com

        So my question remains. If it's advertised as Disney Movies Anywhere, how do I get credif to something that vudu.com is advertising as a DMA title?

          Make sure that your DMA and Vudu accounts are linked to each other. The movie should export over to your DMA account rather quickly unless there are some DMA issues, which I am not aware of at the moment.

            Log into your Disney Movies Anywhere account. Un-link Vudu and then re-link.

              Thanks. That's what solved it. Actually ended up pulling in some other movies that had not been in my DMA account.

                Anytime.

                Something else to keep in mind. In my prior experience if I buy a Disney DMA movie on Vudu and my account is properly linked with Disney I get an email from Disney thanking me for my purchase and crediting my Disney Rewards Points account by 100-250 depending on title. If I don't get that email the DMA isn't correctly linked or it's not a DMA title, and you know those from the logo on Vudu, assuming it's correct but can also be verified on DMA website.

                  I seem to be experiencing similar issues now. I activated the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 code through Disney, but it's not showing up in my Vudu account. I even tried unblinking and rejoining the accounts.

                    Your DMA link is showing as "pending". Try renewing your DMA link with Vudu.

                    1. Go to www.VUDU.com and log into your account

                    2. Access your account settings by clicking on your name in the upper right-hand corner

                    3. Select "Account Info"

                    4. Under "Disney Movies Anywhere Library Sharing Consent," select "Renew". "


                    If that doesn't help, please contact DMA support for further assistance.

                      I'm having the same issue and this isn't an option for me in my account settings. Disney couldn't help me. Could you advise?

                        Just wanted to add I made a forum account because I'm having the same problem with Guardians Vol. 2. I've never had this issue with my Disney and Vudu accounts before, and am a frequent user of both platforms. As the user above me said, the suggested workaround from Vudu doesn't make sense because the "Disney Movies Anywhere Library Sharing Consent" option doesn't even exist on the Vudu page. They must have old info for troubleshooting.

                            I learned about my problem after Guardians vol 2 didn't show up but it actually appears I have not had proper syncing with Disney since September 2016. I don't have any option to renew consent for Disney and I have already unlinked and linked my DMA and VUDU accounts a few times.
