I am not able to login to the Vudu app on my Samsung smart tv. I do have a Walmart account, & I am using the correct account because I even reset my Vudu password to be different than the for my Walmart account. I am located in the United States & I JUST purchased my tv this December, so it is still relatively new. What?s going on Vudu??

    Re: Login failed.

This is a problem with SafetyNet and LineageOS. The following is from LineageOS website concerning SafetyNet. Unfortunately, Vudu Customer Service knows very little about this, but I have verified it is a SafetyNet issue. If you can't pass SafetyNet, the Vudu app is not going to work properly. SafetyNet is also why Netflix will not show up in Google Play Store on LineageOS.

SafetyNet: What it is, and how it affects you
    What is SafetyNet?
SafetyNet is an API that was developed by Google in order to detect whether or not a device is in a known-good state. On older devices, this check is more lenient in order to maintain compatibility.

    How does this affect you?
App developers can choose to enable a toggle in the app developer console to hide their app on the Play Store if a device doesn?t pass SafetyNet tests, or can choose to check the SafetyNet status of a device to disable certain functionality. Notable examples would be Netflix, which is hidden on the Play Store, and Android Pay, which checks SafetyNet each time the app is used. Devices running Lineage may have a smaller selection of usable apps in the Play Store as a result of these checks.

What are we going to do about it?
Our official stance is that we will not intentionally circumvent an integrity check that Google has put in place for app developers. Any action taken to bypass SafetyNet risks a backlash against all custom OSes, and could cause Google to block them entirely from the Play Store. We have always taken the approach that our customizations should not change the underlying Android architecture in ways that developers cannot predict.

What can you do about it?
For apps that are no longer visible in the Play Store, you can pursue alternative methods of app installation. For apps that inhibit functionality, you can always install your device?s stock software and relock your bootloader.

But now on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (Model P5113) running Lineage OS 13 (Marshmallow 6.0.1) which I have been running for over 3 months with no problem, suddenly I get nothing but login failed every time I try to connect. I've downgraded my version of Lineage to several previous versions including going back a month or two, as well as downgrading my copy of vudu to try and track the error to no avail. The issue crept up about 2 weeks ago when I suddenly had a pop up saying that it could not run Vudu on a rooted device suddenly (after running on the same operating system the previous 3 months with no prior issues). Next day, I couldnt even log in. I have totally wiped my tablet, it is currently non-rooted, and still I cant log in. Any help would be appreciated
I just wanted to throw my two cents in here. I have the exact same problem also. I'm also running Lineage (7.1.2) on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (chagallwifi). I can log in everywhere else except my tablet. I have tried downgrading both the OS and app to a version that I know worked fine before (no luck there). This problem started a few weeks ago, before that, no problems. I didn't get a rooted error message though (most likely because I never run with root enabled). I have contacted Vudu app support (they are not able to help and super slow to respond). Whenever I try to login, it instantly kicks back 'login failed'. I feel it must be something other than the app or OS, because it worked without a hitch before.

What Android OS is on it now? Is it back to OEM stock OS?

Seems that you have 2 accounts with the same email. Make sure you are using the correct account to login (Walmart login option vs Vudu).

I certainly am, I just wanted to delete my billing information as I won't be going back in the US any time soon.

So, if I understand it correctly I need to wait to come back to the US if I want to do that?

    Thanks,
    Davide

Are you trying to access Vudu outside of the United States? Vudu is a US only service.
