Movies purchased on Vudu not playing on Apple TV

    Movies purchased on Vudu not playing on Apple TV

    Message reads “content unavailable - we don’t have a version of this content on Apple TV. Please contact Vudu customer care”. I have emailed Vudu twice over the past two weeks and received no response. I have approximately 250 movies purchased on Vudu and about 200 are available through iTunes movies app (50 are completely unavailable to watch at all on Apple TV), but none will play on Vudu app. I have reinstalled the Vudu app, rebooted Apple TV, checked that all are updated, reset Wi-Fi, nothing is working

    Post a list of titles and I’ll check my various Apple TV and Roku units and see if I get similar results.

        Same issue here. I have 316 movies and 54 tv shows. Been trying to watch Apocalypse Now, which I own and I get the same sort of weird “ Content Unavailable We don’t have a version of this content on Apple TV” error message. I called support (ref:_00D30ccv._500DoBz6fT:ref) and invested an hour with them and they’ve failed to address this issue. They are trying to blame my wifi or my router, which is silly because it’s most certainly not my home internet AND office internet (GWI fiber, Starlink backup, ATT hotspots). It’s a VUDU problem.

        I’ve got a $4,000 movie library I can’t access because of some app problem. Can Vudu please take some ownership here? At least respond to my ticket?

        I can always switch to Amazon Prime. Please don’t make me do that.

          Can you give us the exact names of the titles you are having issues with your AppleTV?

            I have the same problem on Apple TV. I am thinking it is something that Vudu and Apple need to work out. It is frustrating. I get it working but using Roku instead of Apple TV>

              Currently encountering this issue with Kill Bill Vol. 2 on the Vudu Apple TV app. The movie plays fine on other devices.

                Doesn’t play on my Apple TV Vudu app either.

                States content not available. Plays on my Roku Vudu app perfectly.

                  I just started experiencing the same issue “Content Unavailable”….etc..etc.. I updated my Apple TV software but made no difference. I am able to watch my Vudu movies on my Ipad however. It’s only with my Apple TV I’m having this problem.

                      FelipeF any updates on this with AppleTV? Enough of us are having the same problems with the same titles. I expect there are even more titles that we haven’t identified yet.

                      Why is this is problem on ATV and not other platforms?

                      Why only these titles and not all titles?

                            For anyone else still having this issue I found that changing my settings from 4K UHD to HDX because my 4K TV doesn’t support UHD helped fix the issue for me.

                              This would explain why only certain movies for people are causing the issue as not all movies have that definition. Vudu just needs to fix it to where it does 4K without UHD for TVs that don’t support that.
