Unable to Add Gift Cards

I don’t know why you have to add the gift card as a payment method and are also limited to three. This is not how most companies do it.

Either you can enter a virtually unlimited amount of gift cards that just get applied to and stored in a bucket for you (preferred) or you enter the numbers each time you place an order (inconvenient).

I’ll also mention that the check balance doesn’t make sense. Why doesn’t it just display the amount instead of displaying a button and then see the balance. It’s a waste of extra coding and time on everyone’s part. Not to mention I’ve hard it display a zero balance so many times. When I know there is a balance since I keep track on my purchases and even if the order history totals to match my total it doesn’t match my balance or Vudu order history balance. Either I have to go back and forth with customer service or walk away from the discrepancy.

Seriously considering not buying anymore gift cards and I’ve bought thousands of dollars worth.

This seems to be working for me now. Glad the VUDU team was able to fix it before the sales reset! Thanks gang.

I know its been a few days now since this discussion has been added to but I just tried to put in a $50 gift card and I am getting the same Error message discussed here. What is going on? Why is this constantly happening?

Problem cropped up again. Added 3. used 2, tried to add another and couldn't. Is there now a 3 per 24 hour rule?

Either something like or you have to have them reset it.

Let us know if it works after 24 hours passed.

Thanks for the heads up btw.

Interestingly the Fandango (movie tickets) gift cards that were coming up as not valid the same time I could use my Vudu by Fandango are all being recognized as valid again and I was able to make two separate orders with two different card. Even if they say it’s unrelated it’s a very odd coincidence that both my Vudu and Fandango GC both weren’t working the same day and now they both started working again the same day. Glad I didn’t throw them out and instead kept them to try a few more times before giving up.

Added 2 more at the 24 hour mark, I think there is a limit of 3 per 24hrs.
