New EDGE update, nothing plays now, not even SD...

My Edge browser on computer (where I usually watch HDX) barked about their amazing new update, and now I can not play ANY of my purchased movies in there. Works find in SD in Firefox tested. Also completely fails in the WINDOWS VUDU APP which is apparently directly based off EDGE.

Switching to and from SD - HDX in app and browser fixes nothing.
Also tried cleaning caching, wiping cookies for the site but no good. Will try a whole edge reset next but that seems extreme since VUDU should make sure their website works inside the approved browsers.

Anything else I can try? Besides back revving edge?

I'm having the same problem. Microsoft updated Edge yesterday, and that update broke the playback on Edge and the app. I use the app for about 80% of my viewing because the picture quality is much better than other browsers. This is a big problem to me.

I THEENK it is from an EDGE update, but unsure. Did some reading, and updated my MONITOR driver to the proper one, didn't help. Wiped my EDGE, didn't help. I'm all updated patches etc

I plan to make a ticket asap about this.

I was also able to replicate this issue. I've alerted our developers so they can investigate this further.

I'm having the same problem. It started with the Edge update that was auto-installed by Microsoft about 5/06/2023. My OS is Win 11. Everything in Vudu looks the same until I click the WATCH button to watch a particular show, then nothing happens but the error message that says, "Playback error. There is a problem playing this video. Please try again." Happens every time.

Same problem using Edge Win 11 after Edge Update can no longer play VUDU videos. They used to work in HDX no problem prior to the update.

Looking forward to a solution for this. I have the same problem via the website (I do not use the app) and have to view in SD on Firefox, not good.

I just tried and the issue still exists for me, both on Edge and the Windows app. I have no issues with Amazon Prime videos, ouTube, or PBSSocal.

Also, I tried a free Vudu movie and get the ads, but the actual movie still give the error message: "Playback error Unable to stream at this time. Please try a different browser."
I consistently get a downstream speed of 26+ Mbps. It is only Vudu.

This issue is still happening. Is there an ETA on a fix?
