VUDU Spark remote IR learning on Harmony Universal remotes

Hi there! First time posting here. I own a few Logitech Harmony remotes. (510 and 550) I control ALL of my entertainment devices from the Harmony's I have in each room. I just recently bought the VUDU Spark and added the device to my TV HDMI 4 input. Everything works just fine, however I cannot get either of my Harmony remotes to "learn" the Sparks remote IR signals. Can you explain to me why? (Thank you!)

The Spark has an RF remote, not IR (IR wouldn't work well if it's plugged into an HDMI port on the back of a TV/receiver).
