Pre-Orders and Not Getting Pre-Order Credits Advertised

What is the point of pre-ordering movies that advertise a $3 or $5 pre-order credit if I have to watch it like a hawk and never get my credits? Why doesn't Vudu send out a pre-order email indicating that I have pre-ordered a title and qualify for a pre-order credit if I do not cancel my order? That would help keep track of these.

Didn't Kubo And The Two Strings have a $3 pre-order credit? I could be wrong. Never received a pre-order credit plus now I can't even check to verify if it even had a $3 credit attached to it. I guess I will start start taking screenshots of those pre-order credit movies.

I also Pre-ordered Jason Bourne, The Secret Life Of Pets, and Suicide Squad, all of which had pre-order credits, and have never received a pre-order credit and/or email for any of them. I keep checking my account and email and to date have not received anything. I do have screenshots of those pre-order offers. I see that The Secret Life Of Pets will not issue a credit until 11.26.16 now on this new offer even though I have already been charged $19.99 on 11.14.16 on my account for The Secret Life Of Pets that I can not even watch yet.

This isn't the first time this has happened. I have had to file several support tickets over this in the past to get these resolved. Captain America Civil War most recently. I really don't even like this email process anyway. Why can't you just credit our accounts accordingly and not bother sending me a email with a code that I have to redeem on my account? Just crediting our accounts would be a much smoother process.

Now I see that Pete's Dragon, The BFG, and Sully all have pre-order $3 credits attached to them and hesitate even ordering them (yea, I probably will) if I have to file a support ticket every time to try and get the $3 credit advertised.

I have pretty much stopped purchasing Blu-rays and these $3 or $5 pre-order credits help save money on these titles but so far the process has been a pain. Thanks.

I pre-ordered Suicide Squad and I haven't received the $3 credit either. I think it was supposed to come on Friday. I was going to wait until Monday afternoon. If it doesn't show up by then, I'll call customer service.

Still nothing on all of mine. I guess I will file another support ticket.

Filed (2) support tickets. (1) for Kubo and the Two Strings and (1) for both Jason Bourne and Suicide Squad. As noted above, I have already been charged on 11.14.16 for The Secret Life of Pets which doesn't come out until tomorrow 11.22.16. What's with that?

Then, I pre-ordered Pete's Dragon, The BFG, and Sully. Hopefully, I won't have to file more support tickets on these.

OK, now wait . . . here is the response from Vudu support.

          "I apologize for the inconvenience.
I definitely apologize for the issues you are having with the redemption process. In order for us to assist you, we will need a legible photo of your receipt and the entire promotional code, including the redemption site and expiration date."

The receipt, no problem, I can take a desktop picture of the appropriate charges. But I never received a PROMOTIONAL CODE, that is the problem that I explained when I filed my ticket!!! Plus Vudu is the redemption site and I am lucky that I actually took desktop screenshots of the Vudu Jason Bourne & Suicide Squad offers on Vudu!!! I mean Vudu doesn't know what Pre-order offers it has?

          Sheesh

Update: OK, everything is uploaded on Jason Bourne and Suicide Squad so we will see where this goes. Probably screwed on Kubo and the Two Strings since I do not have a picture of the actual offer that was on the Vudu website!

So a warning to the wise: Take pictures or desktop screenshots of the Vudu Pre-order offers, if you take advantage of one, if it is going to take that as proof to Vudu that they actually offered it, if a problem occurs.

I think you got a generic response from someone who didn't read your support request very well, and they are assuming that you are trying to redeem a code from a DVD or Blu-ray that you purchased.

Re: Pre-Orders and Not Getting Pre-Order Credits Advertised

Been working with Donny P. at Vudu on this issue and just got it resolved to some degree. He indicates that the promotional credit emails are being bounced back for some reason even though I am getting other emails from Vudu just fine. Donny P. has sent me the promotional codes I needed via private messaging and I have applied the codes and all worked just fine!

Now I am contacting my ISP to see if they are blocking these Vudu promotional emails for some reason, which I know they have the ability to do if they deem something is useless SPAM, which obviously it isn't. I will see where that goes and see if I can get it resolved since I am due more Vudu Promotional Credits over the next couple of weeks.

Donny P. has been a big help and assisted me the last time this occurred as well. Thanks to him!!

So far, no Sully Pre-Order Credit email.

                Contacting support again.

                12.13.16 Update:

Donny P. at Vudu indicated to me that Vudu was late in getting the Sully Pre-Order Credits distributed and that Vudu would do it on 12.12.16. But, here it is a day after that and I haven't still seen anything. I don't know what the hold up is at this point. Has anyone received there Sully Pre-Order Promotional Credit email yet?
