    HDX not working on mi box

    Forgive me if this has been asked already.
    I purchased a mi box over the weekend. It had the vudu logo on the box, plus there was an offer from vudu for free movies.
    I assumed this meant that vudu worked with mi box.
    I got it all set up, went to watch a movie and got an error. I uinstalled the app, reinstalled it, same problem. Reset the box, same problem. Called vudu support and did everything they had me do, still the same problem. Out of curiosity I tried an SD movie and that played with no problem.
    Any ideas as to why HDX does not work?

    What error did you get exactly? Did you run a speedtest to see if you have sufficient bandwidth for HDX?

      "Encountered problems during playback please restart vudu and try again' VUDU works fine on my roku ultra so it's not my wifi.

              Same exact issue with my Mibox 3. SD plays fine, but none of my HDX titles will play. The screen will flash a frame or two of the movie before returning to the details of the movie and giving the message asking to restart. No problems playing HDX on my PS3 and PS4.

              Example movies I have attempted:

              Force Awakens
              Rogue One
              Madagascar 3
              Jurassic Park
              Spectre
              Skyfall

              Maybe it is something Vudu has against customers named Paul?!?!

                We are still looking into this issue but it's a bit odd since we cannot replicate this issue in-house with the MiBox. We are asking for the following additional information to further investigate this issue.


                -Screenshot of the build number on your MiBox (Settings -> About -> Scroll to bottom)
                -Screenshot of your screen resolution on your MiBox (Settings -> Display -> Screen resolution)

                Please also try different frequencies for 1080p to see if that helps. If you have a 4K TV, try 4K2K-smpte or 4K2K-60Hz.

                  I am having this exact issue. I have tried with several HDX movies (SD plays fine).

                  Here are the screenshots. (Pardon the incredibly dirty screen, this is my daughter's tv who has down syndrome.)

                  I have tried different resolutions, refresh rates, changed the deep color and auto change resolution settings, etc. Nothing works. I have logged out and back in, uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache, etc. Same error over and over again.

                    I know this is an old thread but I am experiencing an identical issue and the there was not a solution posted. I even have another curious problem of not being able to find the app in the Play Store from the device after I uninstalled the preloaded one. The preloaded one would not even launch past the splash screen before booting me back to the Android home screen. When I went to the Play from my PC to "push" the install to the device it says the app is not compatible with my device.

                    I side loaded Version: 4.1.44.95052 - Which allowed me to login and get to my library. But every time I try to play a title it give me the same error as everyone else.

                    Android Version 6.0.1
                    Build: once-user 6.0.1 MOB31Z 1901
                    Rosolution: Auto (1080P - 60hz)

                          There's no ETA at the moment. We do not provide APK's, you must get it from the GooglePlay store once the issue has been resolved.

                            Seems that the issue has been resolved. I am now able to playback my content on the MiBox.

                              The last update to the app in the Play Store went live 06/04 which was well before I posted experiencing issues with the APP on the device.

                              On 6/13 you indicated that there would be an updated version which would fix the issue. I have not received such an update and the service is still not working.

                              Are you able to at least provide a version number of the updated app?
