    Problem with my LG390/VUDU

Recently picked up a 390 from BB and with the exception of VUDU all other content streams fine. Even stranger; the VUDU says I am not connected; but in my settings of the 390 says connected? The 390 is 50 feet from the Verizon router; but as I mentioned everything but VUDU streams good. As I simply try to watch a trailer... it starts/stops (several times). In addition; to just load the VUDU home page where all the movies are listed and you can browse... same thing; starts/stops; etc. Is there something up with the VUDU server; is it my 390? Any ideas/suggestions... much appreciated.

    Re: Problem with my LG390/VUDU

    Hi 64met,

I'm sorry to hear about the connection issue.

When the VUDU UI says that it's not connected, is there a numerical error code? when it's in this disconnected state, it's no longer on the home screen correct? It should kick out to a screen with a big VUDU logo sign. This screen should also provide the device info. Can you please post that?

Please take a moment to answer the following:

You said that your bd390 is 50 feet away so I assume it's connected via wireless. Can you try a direct connection?
What is the bandwidth speed of your network?
What is the make and model of your router?
What is the make and model of your modem?
    Who is your ISP?

        Re: Problem with my LG390/VUDU

Update: Well; this must be an intermittent problem. Watched Hang Over in its entirety without any issues! In addition; I qued several trailers as well> no problems. Hopefully the connectivity issue I posted about a few days ago has been corrected.

Question though: To determine speed of internet connection I just go to speedtest.com; and run the test from the same area as my LG? Thxs

          Please use the following tests:

          http://.speedtest.net
          http://speedtest.vudu.com/cdn1/

Hopefully the issue you saw was just a momentary hiccup with the network.

What time of the day did you experience issues? Cable connections will fluctuate during peak hours, so it might be that you stopped streaming due to low bandwidth.

If you give me the Device ID of your VUDU player I can look into your logs and see what speeds you were receiving at the time you experienced streaming issues. You can locate this ID in the Info & Settings menu. Also, what movie did you experience this with?

I am having a problem with my LG BD390 constant buffering, and can not view a HDX movie without this issue.

My down-load rate is 9803kbps (VUDU test).

                Belkin N+ Router, running wired.

                Any input appreciated.

                Thanks,

                    Hi Henry,

Your speed results should be fast enough to stream HDX content without an issue. Try changing the DNS on your network (you can do this either on your router's settings or your LG BD390) and reboot your Blu-Ray player. Change the DNS to the following:

                    Primary: 4.2.2.2
                    Secondary: 4.2.2.1

Let me know if this helps.
