    Mitsubishi LT40164

I can't get the TV to connect. My network is mac airport extreme 802.11n.
The TV sees the network. I tried the password and it said there was a problem. I deleted my network setup and redone it with no password protection. The TV sees the new network and still the same message. Mitsubishi support had me reset the TV with no results and then told me someone else would call me back in a day or two. The store I bought it from is closed for two days for the holiday. No connection=no Vudu!

    One,

So you have the TV plugged directly into the airport? What is the model number of the TV?

It's the LT40164 and has built in wifi. Update: I just got a wireless bluray Samsung and it found and is using my network The TV won't and since I paid good money for the TV I want it to work. So far tech support has failed to call me back. I'm calling the dealer today.

Mitsubishi sent me a software upgrade and it didn't do a thing. What I did was spend extra money on a wifi TV that doesn't work. The dealer suggested I run ethernet. Well what was the purpose of wifi then?

Have you found a solution to this problem? I too am having the same issue. Doesn't seem to matter what I do, I can not get the TV to connect to the routers it "sees". I have also installed the new software, it made no difference. An engineer is supposed to call me. Time frame unknown. I feel the same way, why pay for wifi if you can not access the internet that way.... If I get any results from the engineer, I will post.

Mitsubishi TV's require you to have no characters other than letters in the name of your wireless network. Characters like apostrophes or even spaces prevent the connection. After renaming my network from "Brian's wireless network" to simply "Brian" I am now able to connect fine....even though I was always getting an error message before the change.

              Re: Mitsubishi LT40164

i purchased a 265 series january 2011 and could not connect to the internet even though my linksys n router was recognized by the tv and my password has only alpha and numeric characters. i was having the same problems as other members. i decided to enter my encryption key (22 characters long) instead of using the password. Had to do it twice to get it right with caps and numbers. It worked!!! I should mention i turned off norton antivirus first (though i'm not sure if this is necessary). also, to enter numbers you need to use the "last" key on the remote to toggle between letters and numbers. might have to play with this to get use to switching between caps, lower case, and numbers. hope this is helpful.
