The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience. Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Fandango at Home customers with questions and/or problems with their Fandango at Home service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Fandango at Home Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

    More Magnavox Blu_Ray Player Networking Problems

    Network is wired. Networking and Connection test pass.

    On trying to enter VUDU error message comes up:

    "a record for this hardware id already exists, please unprovision first"

    Hardware ID: G2NSD0100E0A90AC107

    Questions:

    Why does this error message actually pop-up? - No VUDU activation has actually been performed, device is fresh out of the box.

    What does "unprovision" mean?

    I saw that one other individual experienced a similar problem - a tech from VUDU stated it was fixed, but no explanation was offered.

    The hardware ID is a unique ID that is assigned to each device that connects to VUDU. The ID is created using the MAC address of the device. Sometimes, MAC address' are duplicated in manufacturing which can cause the problem.

    Can you please confirm the ID, the one that you listed is not showing up in our system.

        Can you please confirm the ID, the one that you listed is not showing up in our system.
        I tried sending this yesterday - but apparently it did not post.

        I think I dropped a leading zero after the G2NSD address ...

        Can you see if this address:

        is in your system?

                  I have seen no communication from DanielG following my transmittal of a PM with the information she requested.

                  What will it take to get this box activated?

                    I sent you an email yesterday but for some reason you must not have gotten it.
                    I have reset your VUDU Device ID so you should have no trouble activating your VUDU Movies.
