I agree completely. The IP control interface which should be simple and robust is not worthy of the rest of the players quality.

How about fixing it once and for all!!

        Can you respond to everyone?

What is the status of the network control? As mentioned before, it seems that it works sometimes and other times it does not.

I'm having the exact same issue with one of my clients XL boxes and registered here to hopefully get an answer on this issue. Has it been fixed and then broken again? Is it ever going to get fixed permanently?

I really want to get this resolved so I don't have to go do a service call everytime a client loses net remote connectivity!

                Hi,

I have 5 clients that are having problems with their VUDU XL Net remote. They are not working anymore. They are all hooked up through the Ethernet with Net Protocol. They were all working fine until now.

It's very Important that I get this resolved as my customers are not happy. Please let me know what the status is.

                Thank you,

                Dan

p.s. I have PM'd you twice and have not got any response.

I only have a PM from you today, but nothing previous. I need the device information if possible, we need to pull the command logs to see exactly where the device is losing connection.

Re: Network control spotty and unreliable

Hello all, I'm having a similar problem and just PM'ed Dhatman.

I'm an integration specialist with a client who has had the VUDO XL box installed for 2+years. We have a Crestron control system in place with the ControlWorks module for ethernet control. It has been completely functional for the past 2 years. Recently, within the past 4 months and coinciding with software updates, I've lost control of the VUDO box and cannot regain control. We have DHCP enabled with MAC specific DNS IP address allocation. Ethernet Control is enabled and my control strings are being sent from Crestron. Is there an issue with firmware or software that would have resulted in this dysfunction?

Please reach out ASAP as I am going to be onsite in the morning to continue T/S'ing thsi issue.

                    Thank you greatly,
                    Dan Purdy
