    Sorry another streaming problem (C5700)

I have tried everything I have read in these threads and I just cannot stream HDX or HD. I had installed new, faster broadband (it runs between 18mbpm-30+mbps, on average), changed the dns server multiple times, moved my modem closer to the device, etc. I Know there are firewall suggestions and a couple other things. I cannot hardwire this new wireless modem because it is installed in the garage for the shortest possible co-axil line.

I have been messing with this since I started VUDU. I have wasted money and credits on movies that I could only watch in SD. I have spent money on faster inernet.

I came to the realization that VUDU is not worth this frustration. I should be able to sign up and watch. I have all the requirements for streaming HDX. I will give it ONE more shot if tech support will be willing to guide me through a "troubleshoot session."

I think VUDU could be the #1 streaming site if this streaming issue can get taken care of. This forum is FULL of the same darn issue.

One more chance, VUDU!!! Then it's game over!!!

    Kabe,

From looking at your speedtest, it seems you're only able to pull 1800kbps on your Samsung BDP. Would you be willing to provide us with your network setup modem, router model numbers, and a trace route so we can check the path you're currently running on to VUDU?

the command if you're running on a pc should be:

    tracert vault.cx.vudu.com
    tracert vault.cx.rd.vudu.com

Too be fair, I only had this issue one time. When I started with Vudu, I had 6 Meg Uverse service. My buffer was only one segment full, but it never paused the movie to reload, not even once. I upgrades to 12 Meg Uverse service, and that's when I had the one time issue with buffering. Vudu credited my account in an amount that exceeded what I spent on the movie. My movies play without buffering, in HDX. I think dhatman is doing a fantastic job here on the forums as well. I think they provide wonderful support for their service.

The modem is a Netgear CGD24G.
I'm not sure if this is what you are needing as far as trace route 69.28.143.61

I just don't understand why it's so difficult to stream HDX from VUDU. I want to, but it's turning into a "part-time job." I really think VUDU can take the market if these streaming issues are corrected.

I agree with the comment ^^^. You are really dedicated to helping us. I appreciate that and will hang in there and try to get streaming on VUDU.

Sort of an odd post as if you know Vudu is at fault. I only have 6Mbps Xfinity and HDX movies stream fine for me using an LG BD390 or PS3 and there is nothing special about my Vudu account or my network, an inexpensive 5-year old ZyXEL wireless G router is being used. I assume almost everybody that doesn't have problems on their end receives the same high quality Vudu streaming. If you are whining because Vudu can't help you fix your problems quicker, I think that is a little unreasonable. I think it is very good customer service that can even address specific issues with the customer's equipment or internet service.

The Tracert should be a bit longer. Here are the written instructions on how to grab this information.

We will need to collect 2 trace routes:
            a. If you are using Windows, you will need to open a command prompt. Click on Start -> Run, type

in cmd and hit Enter. Once the command prompt opens, type in the following:

            i. tracert vault.cx.vudu.com

            ii. tracert vault.cx.rd.vudu.com

            b. If you are using OSX or Linux:
            i. traceroute vault.cx.vudu.com

            ii. traceroute vault.cx.rd.vudu.com
            c. Paste this info ino the e-mail

            i. Click the top of the CMD window
ii. Select "edit" then "Select All"
iii. Click the top of the CMD window
iv. Select "edit" the Select "Copy"

Run is not a default Start Menu item in later versions of Windows. You may need to configure your Start Menu to show it.

I'm very glad you can stream VUDU HDX without issue. I guess you "had to through your "2 cents" in. That's fine, but I am not the only one with this issue. I have brand new equipment and so do a lot of other members who are having difficulties streaming. I am not whining. I am slightly frustrated because (if you will read other posts and threads before accusing me of anything), you will see that there are a number of steps some of us (without your "inexpensive 5-year old ZyXEL wireless G router) have to go through before being able to stream HDX.
I gave credit to customer support^^^.
People like you who can't resist throwing in an accusation of "whining" or "problems on my end" without knowing any of the tech details are on every forum. Also, because of people like you, these forums become a source of even more frustration to the product. You are being an obstacle in my success at streaming VUDU movies and hope you rethink making these types of posts. Did you make this type of post to the dozens of other people with the same issues? Are you a tech for VUDU? Do you have any suggestions or knowledge that can help us? Have you ever had problems streaming HDX? I bet the answer is NO. If and when you do, hopefully someone like you doesn't interfere when the techs are trying to help.

Now, let me read what the real VUDU help has suggested I do.
