Non-stop BUFFERING on Vizio SmartTV connected via wi-fi to 2WIRE Gateway

I am using AT&T U-verse to connect to the internet, with a 2WIRE 3800HGV-B Gateway modem. My VIZIO smart TV is connected via wi-fi. VUDU has been buffering non-stop forever, even though I have 24mbps downstream. I would simply stop using VUDU, but I purchased a long list of Disc-to-Digital titles, and want what I paid for. I contacted customer service and they told me to change the preferred and alt DNS settings on my TV. That did not work. Customer service then sent me a link telling me to set up a DMZ through TP-Link, but this is for my TV, not my computers. And the info looks like it's for a TP-LINK router, which is not what I am using.

Please can anybody out there supply information to resolve DNS issues specifically for AT&T U-verse issues with a 2WIRE Gateway? I do NOT have these issues with Netflix streaming at all (not on the VIZIO's app or through my AppleTV device), and also no problems streaming titles rented or purchased with AppleTV. This problem is ONLY with VUDU. Somebody please help!

Re: Non-stop BUFFERING on Vizio SmartTV connected via wi-fi to 2WIRE Gateway

I've also been having a LOT of intermittent buffering problems recently, and I also use AT&T U-Verse with a Blu-Ray player connected via wired connection as well as both a Roku and 'smart TV' with wireless. I wrote to support a few weeks ago and they saw no problems on their end. I tried unplugging the modem for a while but that didn't seem to help. Usually have no problems with HDX but tried to watch "Her" tonight and it would not stop buffering. Funny thing is I tried other HDX movies I already have permanently and they seem to be OK. Will have to watch the rest of the movie tomorrow, hopefully it'll behave by then.
