    Error code 1:200

    On January 15, 2018 my vudu app returns a code 1:200 or "Country setting usa does not match location nil". I am located in California. This happens on both my roku and on my dvd player. I spent an hour on the phone with tech support. My call was elevated and they ran a bunch of networking tests which I emailed to them. Now my issue has been elevated to engineering. I called last week and was told I would have an answer in a few days. No response. I called back and the only thing they could tell me was to wait. Engineering has many requests and they will get to it. This is terrible!!! What kind of company has this type of response. So now I still cannot use the Vudu app on either my Roku or on my dvd player. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it?

    I'll see if I can pull up your ticket with customer care. In the meanwhile, are you using a VPN, TOR node, etc.? That can also cause this issue.

      I have had the same issue this week. I submitted a help ticket too a couple days ago, and no response as of yet.

        I have never used Tor or a VPN. I was told my my IP address has been associated with a vpn so I was being blocked by vudu's firewall. I responded: How could this be true if I could access vudu on my cell phone while on the same network? My case was closed without a response. I reopened it with a new question to customer service. I'm still waiting for a reply. If you call Vudu, they cannot help. This has now been approximately 6 weeks and no resolution. It is hard enough to get a reply yet alone someone who really knows what is going on. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

          Update It is now March 26, 2018 and No response from Vudu. Two and a half months!!! I is like they want time to take care of the issue because they don't know what they are doing. Does anyone else have this problem? If a class action attorney ever goes after them, it wouldn't surprise me in the least. Can I get someone at VUDU to look at this and fix it????????

            I've replied to your ticket back on 2/7/2018 and notified you of the issue with your connection. You will need to work with your ISP to obtain a new public IP to resolve your connection issue. If you have obtained a new IP address, please update your ticket or PM the new IP so I can review it once again, thanks.

              Felipe, The excuse I was given is that the Vudu firewall is blocking my IP address because it has been associated with a vpn or a proxy. I haven't used either. Answer this please: If Vudu firewall is blocking my IP address because of the vpn/proxy, then why can I access vudu on my computer or iphone while on the same wifi and network? If I was being blocked, wouldn't it block everything on the same wifi network?

              For everyone else reading this, Vudu customer service keeps closing my questions without an answer. It is now April 27 and this issue has been going on since January 15, 2018 with no answer. It seems Vudu's solution is to blame anything else (like my ISP where everything including other services work fine), hope the problem resolves on its own or the customers give up. I have already started purchasing my movies on other providers like Amazon and iTunes, so in a way I have given up on them. The problem is I have hundreds of movies I've purchased on vudu that I cannot stream on other services as they are not part of movies anywhere or ultraviolet.

              I've filed a complaint with BBB and continue to post on other websites to raise awareness. Hopefully someone at vudu will finally look into this and solve it or a class action attorney files on behalf of everyone.
