    The addresses used were:

    *.vudu.com
    *.loris.llnwd.net
    *.sc.omtrdc.net
    *.vvond.net
    *.biv.sony.tv
    *.root-servers.net

Getting the network admins to reopen these addresses fixed the problem. Discovered these by putting the Blu-ray player on a more cooperative network, setting DNS on the Blu-ray player to point to OpenDNS, setup a free account on OpenDNS, turned on statistics for the IP address (the WAN one, not the internal), waited 24 hours, then played a movie. OpenDNS then listed the domains on the dashboard after a few minutes.

Does anyone know the addresses that these BD players use to connect to Vudu? The support group for the network it's on have no clue.

Could be a different or conflicting port or something.

Doesn't work on the original network. I'm wondering if there is something on the firewall that is blocking Vudu from the Bluray but allowing Vudu from a PC? What's different about these two in terms of ports or possibly addresses it's trying to connect to?

Brought the BD player to a totally different network and Vudu worked properly. Will take it back to the original one soon and see if it works from there.

Tried an update and that did not change the situation. It last worked with Vudu about 3 weeks ago.

Try doing an update on the player?

Last used the player with Vudu?

Studios have changed the requirements and Vudu is either stopped working or is working at lower resolution on a number of devices lately; mostly older ones. Forum is full of similar posts lately.
