    Restoring secure network connection

The title of the post is the message that Vudu gives me when launching the app on my LG OLED smart TV. I've uninstalled and re-installed the app, then logged in again, but the same results. Constant and continuous message pops up stating "restoring secure network connection", then goes away on its own and as soon as I start navigating, it does it again and resets me back to home. Has anyone seen this?

This doesn't happen on any other device.

I am having this exact same problem on the exact same TV (LG OLED smart TV C series). All other apps play perfectly fine....would love to see this issue addressed, as I need to playback on the TV in order to take advantage of Dolby Vision.

Experienced this today on an LG LED Smart TV 60UH7650. Very annoying issue as it happens during playback.

I have a LG E7 and I am receiving the same message. The movie plays for a few minutes and then this message appears. I have to close the app, reopen the app and resume the movie. The movie plays for a few minutes and the message appears again. Vudu is essentially unwatchable due to the continuous interruption. All other apps on the LG work fine and all other devices on the same network (wired and wireless) run the Vudu app with no issues. Is this a known issue? Does Vudu have a fix?

            Re: Restoring secure network connection

Sorry for the inconvenience, we are currently working on a solution at the moment. If testing is successful, we will pass this fix along to LG so they can publicly release it.

That is fantastic news but it would be helpful to tell the tech support personnel on the phone as well. When I called I was told that they had no record of this being a known issue. Is there an ETA for this fix?

                Re: Restoring secure network connection

It's too early to give an ETA since LG still needs to approve the fix after we are done with testing.

Same thing on LG 55 Smart LED with WebOS 3.0
All apps stream fine. Only Vudu has *restoring secure network connection* message. It plays movie for a while but then just keeps showing the message. Today is August 1st 2017. Please help resolve this issue.
                  P.S.
                  Add HBO GO app too.

I am seeing this error message constantly. Whether in main menu or while streaming, it shows up over and over. I opened/forwarded ports 13200 -13299 in my router settings. But no luck.

                    ISP: Spectrum
                    Download Speed: 50+MBs
                    Upload Speed: 6+MBs

All other streaming apps work flawlessly.

                    Please help!

                    Brandon

I get this error constantly on my Vizio P65-C1 TV app. Even pops up in the menu. What is the deal? VUDU has been contacted about ten times. I just got off the phone with my ISP and they do not block any ports. I'm gonna factory reset my router tonight and see if it helps.

Anyone know anything about resolving this error?

                      Thanks?

I just bought a Samsung 8 series TV and ran into this same issue. Since I have 2 active routers I switch to the newst router and that seems to have fixed the issue. The router I was having issues was with the Cisco Linksys E2500.

I'm having this issue all of a sudden on my Samsung series 8 curve 65" 4k TV. All other apps work fine, Vudu works fine on all other devices. I never had issues until this past week so I'm wondering if there was some sort of update.

Currently having problems watching my tv shows & movies in HDX format. I have over 300 movies & shows that I stream and I've never encountered a problem of streaming until today. I keep getting a message saying " It appears you have been having trouble streaming this movie at the HDX quality level". It's then basically asking me if I want to select a lower level such as SD to watch my shows or movies. I have an LG 60UH8500 series 4K HDR television. I've never encountered this problem before. Is it just LG televisions having thus issue? Or other brands as well?. I have Spectrum internet wi-fi & a landline connection to my television for gaming. The internet works fine. Please help me with solving this problem
