    Vizio smart TV app crash

    On my Vizio SmartTV, anytime I go to continue playing a movie, the app crashes out and restarts. It?s like an endless loop

    Same thing is happening to me on my Vizio E70-F3 version 2.40.21. Vudu will playback if the movie is starting out but if it is anywhere in a playback state I get a black screen.

      If you are having issues with streaming on your Vizio TV, please let us know the following.

      -TV make and model
      -Current TV software version
      -Internet Service Provider
      -Content that is experiencing this issue

        Ver 4.0.20.3
        ATT
        at first it was just the free movies. They start playing. Go to a commercial and then restart. Now after updating my software I just get the splash screen reads
        -movies & TV-
        VUDU
        and then a pale blue rectangle below that.
        I am able to play content on a laptop just fine so far.

        Netflix works fine and so does prime.

          Hi Garrambride,

          Could you tell me the Vudu widget version that is currently running on your TV? The info should be listed under settings within the Vudu app.

              Same problems here everything was fine now 3 weeks since getting this TV I can not watch any of my VUDU movies and shows all my other apps work fine. VUDU app turns on will do everything until I START a movie or show from the very beginning or restart from a later point I either get (1) a completely black screen with nothing or sometimes a black screen you can bring up the VUDU controls at the bottom but they are all completely unresponsive.(2) other times I start the movie and I get the endless restart of the entire VUDU app I can only end both problems buy switching my TV input to another source I can no longer watch any of my paid collections or the free stuff on VUDU at all.

                We should be rolling out a new app version later today that should hopefully address the issue you're describing. I'll let you know when i have confirmation about the exact time.
