    Problem viewing the movie.

    Hey, I recently joined this site hoping that I'd be able to view a movie but I have continued to get this error:

    Could not connect to server. Please try logging in again. [#5000]

    I have checked the support, FAQ, I've re-installed my flash player, re-started my computer and logged out and in of my account to try and fix this issue and the issue has not been resolved. I requested a support ticket and have yet to get a response and it's been more than 24 hours. I am hoping that this issue can be resolved soon.

    I just signed up today and cannot stream any movies. I receive the same error. I have absolutely no problems streaming HD from Amazon, Netflix, etc. This is a first.

    If anyone has any suggestions, it would be much appreciated.

      I guess we know why Vudu is not as well known as Netflix, Amazon, Google Play Movies, etc...

        My apologies for the delay Todd,

        Typically error code 5000 indicates the home networks firewall may be blocking the device from connecting to our servers. Would you mind listing your router model number? If you would like to try opening some ports, i would be happy to you walk you through it.

          I am also having the same problem. I have opened up ports 13200 -13299 and 843. Still get error #5000.

            Are you able to download movies with VUDU To Go?

            Have you started a case as of yet?

              Don't know what vudu to go is and can't find that combination of letters anywhere on the website. I can watch trailers though.

                When you're signed in to VUDU. Click to Download a movie that you own (If you own any). If you're using Firefox or IE, it should initiate the download of VUDU To Go. Which will allow you to watch your content without an internet connection. I'm curious if you'll be able to download without an error code.

                  When I clicked on the play HD button on a movie that I rented nothing popped up except the player window which will just give me the error message after about 15 seconds.

                    I am also having this same problem. It does let me download my movie but will not let me watch it on VUDU. I am using a wireless connection.

                        I just purchased the flash bundle to watch the flash. Now it's saying available soon instead of watch when I'm on the movie. When is the movie actually available to watch or what's going on?

                          The movie is still in theaters. This is a pre-order for the digital version which has no release date at the moment.
