    Re: VUDU Storage Options

I had been able to save vudu movies to my ad card on my Samsung note 10.1 2014 edition. After I upgraded the tablet operating system to kit Kat, movies no longer save to sd card. Is there a way to fix this?

Which VUDU version are you running? If you have Vudu 1.5.003, it should allow you to download to the SD card.

That is the version that I am running and it still isn't saving to sd cards. Should I uninstall and reinstall?

Hi, I'm not able to select the SD card to download to either.
I'm using a Kurio tablet with 4 GB internal storage and and am getting a message saying there isn't enough space. I was hoping to be able to save to the 16 GB micro sd card.

            Android Version: 4.2.2
            Kernal Version: 3.3.0
            Software Version:*
            Build Information: c13000A120a.20131218.160640
            Make/Model: Kurio7S
            VUDU Version 1.5.003

Thanks for any help you can provide.

When you installed the application, was the SD card inserted? If it was, does it give you the option of where to save?

If you haven't tried this already, please re-install VUDU on the tablet with the card inserted.

                    Re: VUDU Storage Options

For what it's worth, I'm having the exact same problem on my Toshiba Thrive. The thing refuses to save movies onto my 30 GB external storage. Even if I move the app itself to the external storage, it continues to save movies onto the internal storage. I've re-installed the app 3 times, always with the external storage card installed, and there's been no change.

Here's my info, if it'll help:

                    Android Version: 4.0.4
                    Kernal Version: 2.6.39.4-g2388484

I replied to your post in anther thread w/o knowing that you have tried to reinstall with ext storage installed. I am not sure why it broke recently as we have to find some similar tab to test so we can fix the issue.

I deleted all of my downloaded Vudu movies on my tablet. Then I uninstalled the Vudu application. I installed it again and lo an behold it's now working!!!! The first movie that I downloaded defaulted to my SD storage card not the internal memory so YIPEE!!!! I guess it's time to buy that 64gb card that I have been eyeing for since LocN said they were working on the SD card storage issue.

I am glad it's fixed and delighted that it finally stores on the external card. Vudu staff please feel free to give me all the credit for this fix.

I am running ver 1.5.011 on note 8.0 android v 4.4.2 and cannot store onto my 64gb sd card. This is useless, as vudu movies are not small. I have almost 200 paid movies on vudu. I would like to be able to store them on my sd card.

Why is it when the limitation on kitkat and sd card writing took place that some apps (Rhapsody) were able to fix it and we can store that data on the sd card, yet other apps (vudu, and similar) still have this limitation.
