The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience. Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc).     New iOS app update may not be working properly...

    I don't know if I'll be the only one to encounter this issue but I recently tried updating the iOS Vudu Player app today and get an error message. At first, I thought it was just a need to have the app deleted and reinstalled. I did this, downloaded a few movies and then opened the App Store app and it downloaded the updated version again. I again loaded the Vudu Player app and again got the same error message. Hopefully Vudu support gets back to me quickly with a solution or someone else does.

    Does the icon for the Vudu app have the new "flat" look to it? If it doesn't then you currently do not have the newest version of the Vudu app. Apparently some people are still unable to update the app due to Apple still caching the old version. This problem should go away soon as that cache is flushed away from their servers.

      I am seeing the new flat image on two iPad devices.  When I open either application it immediately takes me to a white screen that says Error 404 File not found.  do not get this error on the iPhone.  I have tried reinstalling with no better effect.  The white screen appears after login

        Yes, it does show to be the new "flat" look icon. The interesting thing is it only does it if I have downloaded a movie. If I don't, the app loads without issue. If I do download a movie, it gives an 404 error message when launching the app. I can try deleting the cache on the device to see if that corrects the issue but it seems to be an potential app bug more than that of an Apple cache bug based on the error screen I get. I will send an attachment of the error message via PM if it'll let me.

          I'm getting the same 404 error. I deleted and reinstalled- still same error. And it is the flat graphic vudu app.

            Ver. 2.1.1 will fix this issue. It should be out real soon.

              I got the same issue after the update yesterday. Still not working. Says 2.1, so I guess we're waiting on 2.1.1 (today'ish) to fix 2.1 from yesterday ?

              Hopefully Apple doesn't sit on the approval and we're out for a couple weeks.

                After I waited a few hours, the issue went away on my phone and iPad. Can't help but wonder why that happened in the first place and the app reviews, last I checked, showed lots of people getting this issue.

                  Just tried it again a few hours ago. Still getting the error message. Still no (promised) updates to install either.

                    I have the same issue on both my iPad and my iPhone. I don't know what a "flat" icon looks like, but I make a point to keep all of my apps updated.

                      Ipad 4 ios7, movies do download, but will not play in airplane mode at all. This doesn't seem right, is there a fix in the works?

                        The app was just updated to fix the 404 error message. Good job, but when are you gonna add sorting to the app?? The android app is much more featured, why no love for IOS? It has a much higher installed user base on tablets.

                              Another issue I see is that my Vudu app will not launch on the iPhone if I'm not connected to wifi. I have disallowed Vudu from using cellular because that would (and has, even though I was on wifi at the time) run up my bill. Please allow the Vudu app to launch even if it's not connected to any network. There have to be people trying to use Vudu on airplanes. They can't connect to anything, either. How can I watch my downloaded content if the app won't launch??
