Same problem here and started about the same time. No resolution yet. I prefer not deleting my downloads and re-downloading to see if that fixes the issue. Any advice from a mod is greatly appreciated.

Problem has started back up again with all of my downloads. Any solutions? What copyright restriction?!?!?!? I just watched a movie last night in HDX?!?!? This is frustrating!

The solution was simply restarting my computer. There's an unknown running process that conflicts with the "copyright" codes. If a restart doesn't work for you, you'll have to find the running process in the background that's conflicting with it.

I had same problem. I was able to download and watch a video and when I tried again a day later it failed completely with said error.

I was lucky enough to notice that when I turn the monitor on before starting my computer the display drivers that Windows loads is the one for the monitor that I have, but if I start my computer and then turn on my monitor sometime later the display drivers that Windows loads is for Generic PnP Monitor.

The easy fix was to make sure that I always turn my monitor before turning on my computer and then the proper display drivers are loaded by Windows and VUDO-To-Go player will run just find.

The problem is Generic PnP Monitor display drivers do not support HDCP while my monitor's display drivers does!

I changed the Generic PnP Monitor to Digital Flat Panel (resolution, e.g., 1920x1080 60Hz) and that was enough to fix the Generic PnP Monitor not being able to handle HDCP. I would have installed WHQL drivers for my ASUS VN289H but there weren't any. I didn't have to reinstall Adobe Air or other plug-ins.

Anyway, I chose Update Driver for the Generic PnP Monitor, then:
            1. Browse my computer for driver software
            2. Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
            3. Unchecked Show compatible hardware
            4. Selected Digital Flat Panel...

I was very frustrated with that "Oops! This movie won't play on your display due to copyright restrictions. It can be played only if both your output and display support HDCP. [#3338]" error until I came across this forum!!!

Anyway, I chose Update Driver for the Generic PnP Monitor, then:
              1. Browse my computer for driver software
              2. Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
              3. Unchecked Show compatible hardware
              4. Selected Digital Flat Panel (1920x1080 60Hz)...
The above work-around worked on my Windows 7 Enterprise partition and I re-encountered the same Generic PnP Monitor HDCP error restriction on my Windows 7 Ultimate partition.

I figured I'd take my own medicine and therefore changed my primary Asus VN289H monitor from "Generic PnP" to "Digital Flat Panel (resolution 1920x1080 60Hz)" but I left my secondary LG W2353V monitor on "Generic PnP".

I was able to watch EDGE OF TOMORROW in HDX without having to do any resetting of Adobe Flash control panel licenses or rebooting or updating any plug-ins.

Has this work-around worked for anyone else?!?

Re: Output and display support HDCP Error #3338

I was able to watch HDX about a month ago on my notebook. I usually just watch through my PS4, but I was visiting a friend and had my notebook with me, and wanted to watch a movie, but none would play in HDX? I tried changing the monitor as noted above, and restarting, but neither did the trick, and not sure what process would be causing this. Any advice?
