Video stuttering on Samsung Tab A7

I just bought a Samsung A7 tablet and noticed an HDX movie begins to slow down badly after a few seconds. Is there a fix in the works for this? Guessing the app just isn't optimized for the new hardware yet but wanted to double check.

Same exact issue with mine, Samsung tab A7, just bought for Christmas. Even when I tried loading in SD or just downloading to the tablet and playing I get the same lagging issues.

        Same issue.
I just bought the A7 because I dropped my old 8" one too many times.
Installed all my streaming services....Amazon prime, Disney+, Netflix, Boomerang and a few others.
ALL of them work perfectly. Not a split second of lag or any other problem.
Vudu, however, is choppy as crap.
Its clearly some compatibility issue with vudu versus the tablet.
For evidence of that, I can watch my vudu movies with Google TV on the A7....they show up in the library....and they run PERFECTLY thru the google TV app while running so badly thru the Vudu app that they are pretty much unwatchable.

For anyone who wats to watch your vudu movies, given that my last 2 tablets would let me watch them thru the google app, Id say just use this as a workaround till vudu gets their app working correctly on the A7.

Which proves its not an internet connection issue, as I saw someone on another site trying to blame it on.
Use the google TV app instead. When I installed the vudu app my vudu movies just showed up automatically in the Library of the google TV app. They run just fine in that app.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We are looking into this issue. In the meanwhile, has anyone attempted to uninstall/reinstall the app or reboot your device to see if that helps? Let me know either way. I'll respond back once I have more information for you all.

DM me your email address on Vudu so we can take a look at this issue, thanks.

I'm having the same issue. Just bought an A7 about 2 weeks ago, specifically for Vudu, and everything stutters to an unwatchable degree(both online and offline, HDX and SD). It sucks, because my library is limited on other platforms(which work fine) and some of my favorite movies aren't available on those.

Hoping to get a fix soon.

Just want to point out, every other app that I've used on the A7 works fine, so I'm thinking this is exclusively a Vudu thing.

I have this issue as well. Movies Anywhere works perfectly fine, but for whatever reason Vudu is really untenable in high action scenes. I think a recent update has improved it a little bit but it's still stutters and high action scenes are not good.

Do we have any updates on this FelipeF? Movies are still completely unwatchable on my A7 tablet due to extreme stuttering.

Just wanted to give an update, after downloading the recent Android Vudu update, it seems to be running flawlessly on my A7. It stuttered pretty bad for a few seconds when I first started a movie(kind of expected), but cleared up quick and ran like butter once it kicked into HDX. I also tried downloading a movie and watching it offline; that ran smooth, as well. Definitely good to see. Well done Vudu.

I have a Tab A7 with the same issue. It doesn't matter if it is streaming or downloaded. It doesn't matter if it's SD, HDX, or UHD. The video is very jittery and the audio doesn't sync. I also tried turning ATMOS on and off. This is a fresh installation of the app also.
