Unable to play 4k on windows 10 PC

I have been attempting to play 4k video content on my home theater PC running windows 10 to no avail. I have an i3-8300 cpu and a compatible nvidia 10-series GPU. I am able to play Netflix movies and blu-rays via PowerDVD(intel video output) just fine both of which have fairly heavy DRM requirements.

Both my home audio receiver and TV are HDCP 2.2 capable as is the cabling I am using.

When I launch the VUDU app I can find a rental that says it is available in 4k/UHD(a non-disney non-fox movie) but when I go to play it only SD and HDX are available.

I wish the app had more verbose logging so I could see where the error is coming from. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I was trying to make a thread about this same issue, but I don't think it got made for some reason. I have the option to stream in 4k via the Vudu app on my TV, but it crashes every couple of minutes. The app in Windows10 doesn't show UHD for those same titles. I actually can't find the UHD option on any device except the TV app, which sucks because that means I can't watch the UHD I bought (in my case it's for digital purchases on Vudu, not rentals or codes or anything)

Update: I've tried with 2 different PCs, 2 different (compliant) HDMI cables, using the Vudu Windows 10 App, Edge, Firefox on both, none of them let me stream UHD. Massively frustrating.

I CAN watch these movies in UHD via Google Play or Amazon, so this is 100% an issue with Vudu.

I am in the same boat. I have 4 computers that I have tried this on and none of them can stream UHD.. All have HDCP 2.2, the GPU's are GTX 1080's on 2 of them and RTX 2080 on the other 2. The systems do have 2 displays each has 1 4k and 1 that is 1440p. HEVC from the Microsoft store is installed. Am I missing anything? Do multiple monitors cause an issue? Will this work only with integrated graphics (IE laptop or AIO devices). Is there any validation software that will test the requirements to stream 4k from Vudu?.

Alright, to hopefully provide some clarity to any of you that are having this issue. I just went a few rounds with support and was given this information. PC support had been put in as a limited run BETA program. It ran into a lot of issues, and was recently disabled, so we can't stream 4K on our PC's temporarily. The agent stated that support would be reinstated to stream 4K to supported PC's again by August 15th 2019. He also mentioned that there would eventually be an option to download 4K copies of what we own via some program...I'm not sure what the limitations will be on that.

I used to be able to watch 4K films (non disney and fox) through the Microsoft app on a dell xps 7590, beginning of August. Then it disappeared and has reverted to hdx for all. I am aware that this was part of the beta but vudu has given no reason as to when it will be back. I called and received notice that other people experienced the same issue, but this is very disconcerting. Hopefully it will be back Thursday as other forums have stated or I will be calling again.
