Still Unable to Watch UHD on PC Microsoft App

Since July I have been unable to watch UHD content on my 4K and have been wondering when this will be resolved.

Same issue here wish they would get this resolved i like my 4k.
I am a little upset with vudu they say 4k uhd is capale now on pc, but it doesn't work.

    My specs-
intel i5-9600k 9th gen cpu on 300 series motherboard
samsung 970 evo plus m.2 ssd
    geforce gtx 1660 ti
    32gb gskill 2666 ram
latest version of windows 10 pro 64-bit
    hevc extension from microsoft
    vudu app
lg 4k uhd tv hdr10 with hdmi 2.0, hdcp 2.2 runs 4k at 3840x2160, 60 refresh on everything but Vudu.
i can use microsoft movies and tv app to watch my uhd movies in 4k, but not Vudu app, problem is that not all my Vudu movies show up in ms movie app.
    so what gives here???

You need to use your motherboards video output, there are no external GPU?s that are certified for 4K DRM

I know that's true for UHD playback with players like Cyberlink PowerDVD (where you have to use an Intel integrated GPU), but VUDU's requirements state that it needs an Nvidia card and doesn't state it needs to be integrated. That said, I can't get UHD playback on either my HTPC that can play UHD with PowerDVD or my gaming PC that has an Nvidia 2080. It would be nice if we could get some kind of feedback on what component was failing whatever checks they have in place.

I have a Razer Blade 15 Advanced (mid-2019) with a 4K OLED display, Intel i7-9750H "Coffee Lake" processor and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU (along side a GeForce RTX 2080 GPU), and even following all the instructions listed here:

          https://vudu.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/407/~/how-do-i-watch-my-vudu-4k-uhd-movies-on-my-windows-10-device

it still won't play videos any higher than "HDX". I even wasted $0.99 on the HEVC plugin from Microsoft, but nothing seems to convince VUDU to play in "UHD" quality.

ViperGeek, I see in the link you posted that Fox and Disney studio's movies are restricted to HDX on PC. So, that's interesting. I was attempting to play Joker, which is a WB movie, so I don't think that had anything to do with my issue. I get that my HTPC may not work since it doesn't have an Nvidia card, but, at least according to the listed requirements, my gaming PC should work. I too spent $0.99 on the HEVC stuff.

            Gaming PC specs:

            Intel 9700k
            32GB RAM
            500GB SSD
            3TB HDD
            Nvidia RTX 2080 Super
            HEVC Video Extensions
            Windows 10 Pro 1909

            Download speeds: ~100Mbps
            And I have a 4k TV attached to a Denon x2400h AVR
The most baffling thing to me is that my HTPC will play UHD discs (which requires very specifc hardware) and neither it nor my gaming PC will play VUDU 4K content.

Curious since I was considering buying an OLED 4k laptop, whether there has been any progress in Windows 10 PC UHD VUDU playback on any browser (would prefer Chrome but I can be agnostic).

I have same issue, but not with UHD. I use HDX. Only problems I have, are the playback issues that does not run on my PC or Surface Pro 7. It keep saying error_Code_Hung. Not responding. Only working are the UHD TV I currently have. It works except with captioning issues that plagued me for a long time. Missing, time delays, that I am not really liking very much. VUDU has alot of these issues that they have not fixed it.

I am also getting the same issue in my PC. After doing a complete reset, I'm able to fix it.
