    HDMI 1.3 wouldbe a nice upgrade so you could send the DD+ to a receiver for decoding instead of being transcoded to DD.
    I'm just not having any luck on Ebay gettingthe VUDU box. I went as high as $360 with shipping and lost and also lost on only $225. I guess I'm going to end up waiting until February to get one and lose out on the free Bourne movies and the $50 promotion. I guess I'll have to hope they offer it for $250 again. AT this point I'll have to jump on it if they do.

          I hate it when the market commands a price higher than I guess it should be. You know, if you could put a $ value on your personal entertainment experience you might come to the realization that all the months you spend without your Vudu ended up costing you more than you saved, especially if you never see the price drop you long for. Instead of "lost revenue" it's "lost joy"....

            I agree and if I had the one expensive auction over again I would have bid around $400 with shipping since it also came with $100 in VUDU bucks(plus i would have still been able to get the free Bourne movies). But I couldn't get a higher bid in at the last second. And I've pretty much decided on what I'm willing to pay without incentives and with incentives. No incentives and i'll bite at $250, with incentives I'll go higher.

            I'm still holding out hope that VUDU will have another $250 sale. If they do I will purchase it from them immediately.
            But I also wouldn't expect any chance of that until the current promotion has expired. So unfortunately I'm pretty much looking at February for my VUDU purchase now.

            Any chance of Bestbuy having the VUDU sometime soon? If they had it I would have already purchased it since I have a $524 credit with them.
            What about Circuit City? I have a $200 credit with them.

              I think some BestBuy/Magnolia stores carry the box, but I don't know if BB credit can be used there. Worth a try, maybe?

                Beware of auctions that include VuDu bucks, as there is not really a vehicle for transfering those to another user account. Vudu bucks are assigned to a user account, not the set top box. This is a distinction that may bite you (or the seller) as they may not be aware that these things are not transferrable. If I were you, I'd ask the seller for proof that they can deliver the $100 credit, or an agreement to refund you the $100 if they've held an auction for something that can't be sold.

                    Magnolia inside BB does not yet carry the Vudu. Only standalone stores.

                    And I think Ed's correct. If a user closes their account, any cash balance is refunded. The Vudu bucks go away. That is how I believe it works.

                    This guy with the $100 Vudu bux was an evangelist who didn't want to proselytize! Sad that the program was wasted on people like that and not on people like you Aaron who would have made good use of the product! Vudu does have some really good evangelists, but some stinky ones too...

                      Let me say this in no uncertain terms - I know of no way for a user on Ebay to sell their Vudu bucks credits. No ifs, ands, or buts.

                        What if the user had never received the VUDU bucks and never created an account? Would the ebay purchaser be able to get them?
                        The reason I ask is the seller mentioned that he was supposed to get those VUDU bucks when he activated his account, which he never created.
                        If I can get those VUDU bucks then I will definitely keep the second VUDU. Although I won't get it until Tuesday at the earliest so I guess i should concentrate on the VUDU I bought fromTweeter first before worrying about the one from Ebay.

                          I don't think so. I would imagine that this guy who was selling his might have been an evangelist flunky. He would have gotten his box for $99 with $99 in movie credits. Those credits were only given to the evangelists and it was fairly tightly controlled.

                            Definitely sounds like an evangelist dropout who doesn't have a clue how the program works. I'm sorry there's no easy way for us to prevent those auctions with false information.

                              I think someone from Vudu needs to step-up and let AaronWT have $99 Vudu bucks, especially in the light of recent price drop and him getting two units. He'll probably be much better evangelist than the eBay seller anyway.

                                One of the ideas we've suggested is a way for Vudu owners to purchase Vudu Bucks gift certificates - this has not been realized. If we can talk Vudu into allowing this, would you want to contribute to the aaronwt sympathy relief fund?
