Oh gee, I want to do that...But it would ruin the surprise....

    Let's put it this way:

There is about 64 movies right now at my last count. Some of them are 2007/2008 releases. There are also movies going back to 1972 or so. Some of the older releases include titles such as Officer and a Gentleman, The Presidio, and a few movies from a particularly popular Sci-Fi franchise.

The rest I'll leave to others...

So it looks like Vudu can keep on schedule and deliver what it promises better than Apple when it comes to VOD.

Just read some of the user suggested excuses on the Apple boards...there are some real whoppers. One guy actually tried to blame Microsoft for Apple's delay...

A company that delivers on its promises, how refreshing. Congrats Vudu for getting it out on time as promised. The UI seems to have gotten even slicker. Even the small things like, I don't know if it is a different font or size or both but even the text in the settings section seems easier to read. Or is it my imagination. I do have a question. Are all the new HD movies going to be rent only for know or has my box not finished updating yet. All 65 of mine are rent only. I was actually looking forward to purchasing as well.

At present all HD content is rental only with the exception of the third Bourne movie. I don't know if that is going to change. I hope so. I am sure Vudu is negotiating purchase terms with those who control purchase licenses.

It should. The seeding is going out gradually to everyone so as to not overtax the system.

Apple definitely has its share or problems. There are a number of issues with their iPhone and Bluetooth compatability for instance. They have a lot of unhappy customers.

I was ecstatic to see 100% rentability. I'm not saying that I'd be angry to have the purchase option but I plan only to rent so it wouldn't make me any happier.

Lots of titles. I just rented these HD titles. The Core, Transformers, and Star Trek 2:The Wrath of Khan. A new release, one only 2 or 3 years old, and an older title to see how they look.

Why did you rent them all up front if they are going to work instantly. Don't tell me you watched them already.

It sounds like the "old" Netflix mentality kicking in.

It took people awhile to quit calling CD's, tapes.

And some of us still call them records!!! And have bought the record, 8 track tape, cassette and CD of the same 'album'. Have to support those aging rockers.
