    1080P24 output?

Is 1080P24 output only available with HD titles? My box hasn't loaded any HD titles yet so the only ones I can currently view are Sd titles. The output of the VUDU box only went up to 1080i for SD movie I rented as a test.

We only show you the modes that your monitor supports (means what your monitor tells us during the HDMI handshake). What is you TV Model?

It runs into a VP50 PRo scaler then to a Toshiba 65HM197 1080P DLP set.
Both devices accept 1080P24 and 1080P60. I feed it 1080P24 and 1080P60 from several other devices.
I'll have to connect it straight to the TV to see if it makes a difference.
Is there a plan to have a forced mode in the future?
In my options there was an automatic setting which said 1080i, and manual settings which had 1080i, 720P etc but no 1080P24 option.

Oh I forgot I also run it through an ALgolith HDMI Flea before going to my VP50 Pro, but the Algolith FLEA allows up to 1080P24 inptu and output.
I'll have to try it tomorrow night and see what happens if I take a component or switch out of the chain.
But just so I understand correctly, it should be showing a 1080P24 resolution option even for SD content if it was receiving the correct data from the TV?

Yes, the output selection is independent on the movie so you should have seen 1080p in our list.
Can you please gice me your client id. I can then check the logs to see what your system reported during the hand shake .

And yes, I am already testing the override. It will be part of the advanced settings of our 1.3 release.

Where is the client ID number?
I did some testing this morning and it seems to be the Algolith Flea as the problem. Going straight to the TV the auto setting is 1080P24. Going straight to my VP50pro the auto stting is 1080i but it does give me the option of manually selecting 1080P. Going straight into the FLEA the auto setting is 1080i and 1080i is the highest manual setting available.
I'll have to check Algolith out to see if there is another fimrware update.
But I guess if you will implement a forced 1080P24 update soon I guess I really don't need to be too concerned about it.

ACtually what is the native resolution and framerate of the SD and HD content? Is it 480P60 and 1080P24?

            Re: 1080P24 output?

Was the client ID the number I used for activation? I've already turned off everything so I won't turn the TV on again until this evening. It's not good to be turning the RP lamps on and off alot. The Toshiba keeps the lamo on for 5 minutes after you hit the off button which is nice but it's been past 5 minutes. Anyway I'll check tonight, but if the client ID is the number I entered for activation, I have that.

Client Id is on the bottom of the VUDU starts with 0x.

The Client ID is also referred to as the System ID. You can find it in the Info & Settings menu, on the bottom of the Vudu, and possibly on the outside of the pretty box. It looks something like 0x1a2b. Your number will be different, but may have alphas in it.

HD content is 1080p/24 and I believe you are correct on the SD content - 480p/60.
