    Progress bar

Can someone explaing to me the two different colors on this progress bar and waht it means? I've had only a few minutes of the bright blue color and over an hour of the dark blue color showing on the bar. I've also had 1 hour of the bright blue and two minutes of the dark blue showing up.
What do the different colors mean.
I see when it's completely downloaded the entire bar is bright blue, but it seems inconsistant between the two and how much time the darker blue represents.

The bright blue is considered to be the "safe" area. When in that area, an uninterrupted viewing experience is guaranteed. If you fast forward into the dark blue area, Vudu no longer guarantees an uninterrupted viewing experience should something happen to your network, a bad peer pops up or something like that.

I've rarely had a problem operating into the dark blue area, but that's what the colors mean.

Why would a program have a few minutes of bright blue and over an hour of dark blue? I see it's usually only a few minutes of the progress bar in dark blue but one of my rentals(SD rental) tonight had that hour of dark blue in the progress bar.

I don't know how they determine that. But that's the way it works.

I guess it's all part of their super efficient, top secret patent
I was just curious. All I know is it works and it works extremely well.

I reported that during testing and it has to do with HD movies and the reliability of the stream. I would see about 1/3 light blue to the left of the current point and gray about from 1/3 to 2/3'rds. Even though I was getting 4 mbps there was some fluctuations in the stream and the VUDU was playing it safe.
