    Showing all options

Either I'm doing something wrong or maybe this needs to go into the suggestion box....I was scanning movies on the box, the "Featured Movies" that appear across the screen. One of the movies was "War" with Jet Li. I clicked on it and it showed 2 choices Buy or Rent but no HD option and I was pretty sure it was available in HD so I checked and sure enough it was. Now perhaps this is an exception, but I think that wherever you find the movie, that all available choices should show up. I'd be ticked if I rented a movie in SD and found out later that it had been available in HD as well. Again, maybe I did something wrong or maybe this is a quirk, but I thought I'd bring it to VUDU's attention. Thanks Keep up the good work VUDU.

    Re: Showing all options

This has been put in as a feature request by the beta team, but right now there are different placards for the HD and the SD version of a movie. They are two different files with two different heads.

The HD versions will show up on the home page as "Now in HD" or "Available in HD" or something like that.

I think having one listing for a movie (that gives option of SD or HD) is a must-have. I believe, this is what iTunes has (at least from photos on Jobs' keynote). If a unified listing is not possible then perhaps when an HD version shows up, SD details page could say "Also available in HD. Click here to view details" so we could be referred to HD version.

Yes Xbox Live does the same thing. One title in the main list and it will show HD available. Then when you click on the title it shows the HD and SD version and the price for each.

Right and that would seem to be the most user-friendly way. But I think what NA9D was referring to is the fact that "heads" & description for each version are separate and can/will be downloaded on a different schedule. So perhaps it'd be easier for Vudu have separate listings for SD & HD versions and just update description of SD copy with information that HD version is available.

That is correct. Each movie has its own set of metadata. Thus its own placard in the movie list.
