Petition to get Pandora LG BD390 ASAP

First vote for it, also sent a message to tech support.

Should we write to LG, or is it Vudu business?

    =====================================

Update: here is the link to petition LG. Be polite, make
    it short and compelling:

I've never used pandora. Maybe I should try it out?

It's streaming radio isn't it? Or is it something else?

You got my vote for Pandora support! Don't understand why it isn't there now with Samsung Bluray players having it for quite some time!

The way you like music and new things, you will dig Pandora.

Example, my first clicks were to create a radio station called The Communards. It has everything from this band plus similar music
from that era. Wife set up Mozart, sure enough all familiar tunes
from the Romantic Era showed up. Now we have 50 stations.

You go online and establish an account with Pandora, then associate
the email address in the Pandora menu in Vudu Labs.

BTW i think the 390 has a better YouTube implementation.

I am sure i said it before but the Netflix SD upscaling sucks on the
        BD390.

          bobpaule;skoretsk,

I just sent you a private message on this topic. A lot of folks would love to have Pandora under VUDU on the LG product line.

I did submit a petition request today to LG for adding Pandora support on BD390. Lets hope we get it, don't see why we can't since LG's primary competitor (Samsung) has it!

I would also like to sign this petition. I bought the BD390 (tonight) because its quality to the Samsung....but I almost bought the Samsung solely for Pandora. My brother in law also bought the BD390.

I almost bought the Samsung as well just to get access to Pandora... it was only lack of Pandora support that made it a difficult decision to go with the LG..

I'd definitely sign a petition as well

apologies if this is a double post - my original reply to this thread hadn't appeared when I wrote this...

I would absolutely vote for Pandora on the LG BD390.... the pandora service almost made me by the Samsung...

I have a VUDU system and mostly use Pandora on it. While everytime my wife and I decide to curl up on the couch to watch a movie it seems you select the movie and it is only available to buy. I today packed up my VUDU system and am seriously thinking of putting it on ebay. I bought the Samsung blu ray BD-P3600 and I love it. While I was looking at the LG model it gives you the option for NETFLIX and VUDU, but no PANDORA. I spoke to a rep reguarding PANDORA on the LG machines and they said it could be "quite some time" if not never due to the contracts they have with Samsung etc....On the VUDU outerbox it says " View DVD's the day of their release" and states nothing about buying the day of release. But PANDORA on the Samsung BD-P3600 rocks!!!

Here's a link explaining rental and purchase options on VUDU:

                          http://supports.vudu.com/questions/9...+rent+them%3F+

Just keep in mind that these implementations from the studios are the same for all video-on-demand providers. New releases are usually available the same day as DVD, but not necessarily for rent. The rental release date is listed on the movie details page.

You can always get another digital download device, but you will have the exact same rental issues. Your problem is with the content providers. They are the ones that dictate when a title is for sale or for rent.

And yes you can view the DVDs on the day of their release which is 100% true. Just a few minutes of online research would tell you that to view many of those titles on the DVD release day you would need to purchase them. This is nothing new.

I have decided to keep my VUDU set top box. I was wondering how and if there is updates on the unit and if so, how to recive them for update. I bought my VUDU in late April 2009.....Thank you for any information. As for Pandora....I find now I also really enjoy Slacker radio....
