    Just bought the LG BD390

I just got a stroke of luck and found a BD 390 blu-ray player. I have a VUDU set top box and wireless kit like brand new in all the boxes. I don't know if you can ask if anyone is interested or not?? If it is allowed. I no longer need the VUDU box and wireless kit so I wanted to know if anyone is interested in these items? I have no available HDMI inputs left and no digital inputs left on my theater. Just wanted to see in anyone is iterested in these items.

You can always get an HDMi switch. I have around 15 HDMI sources in my main setup now. My video processor only has eight HDMI inputs so I have to use several HDMI switches to route everything through the video processor.

Do you have mutliple HDTV's? You could have Vudu on both. I have the STB in my family room. Just got a plasma for the basement so I'm eyeing the bd390.

Brought back the BD390 and bought a brand new VUDU XL on ebay. The BD390 was giving me lots of issues.....skipping discs, standard dvd and blu ray.

The Malaysian electronics usually hold out better than the mainland China xxxx.

Don't miss out on the BD390 though, especially if you a decent 4MB or above provider with good bandwidth. Get another BD390 it will allow these and more:

          1. Omnidirectional browsing. Up, down, left, right.

          2. HD Preview, when you hit "Buy It Now" you view 5 minutes free of charge then decide to buy or skip.

          3. For the separates balanced and calibrated systems folk with Signature series speakers it is worthwhile mentioning that it also features uncompressed audio in the form of DD+.

          4. Finds every computer in the house and media files on them, even listed my network printer, played MP3s from my library.

          5. A pretty darn good YouTube interface for such a device.

Of course my BX100 is in the living room where it mostly streams Pandora and the occasional kiddy movie. Why did they have to do away with the nice ID3 screensaver and put just scrolling Pandora logo, ARRRGH! That was so educational.

Re: Just bought the LG BD390

As far as I'm concerned the LG BD390 is a blu-ray player from God. It's wireless and along with vudu I can also enjoy Netflix.

These two services compliment each other very well. vudu provides near blu-ray quality on most new movie releases while Netflix provides older content such as TV shows I enjoyed in my youth like Columbo. And the video quality is surprising good, not high definition mind you but a show like Columbo is as good as it's going to get when you see it on Netflix.

I am disappointed that the LG BD390 does not appear to be one of the devices selected for vudu apps.

I hope my experience will be just as good with the Vizio TV I plan to purchase. I not overly concerned about not getting vudu apps on this device as Vizio promises to provide many apps through their own via service.

Folks, I don't see much of an upside to getting a vudu box over one of the "smart" devices that are available with vudu. The ability to enjoy both Netflix (which I think will be available on most devices that have vudu) and vudu is just one more advantage you have over the stand alone box. I know you can have stand alone boxes for both vudu and Netflix but who wants a boat load of black boxes and their cables under their TV?

Now if vudu would only allow you to "own" movies across devices I would be in movie heaven.

Also, I feel better about vudu's future now that they will be available on many more devices. Some so called experts have commented that vudu can't compete against more well known entities such as Netflix and Blockbuster. I disagree as many folks will indeed buy internet enabled media devises because of Netflix not knowing squat about vudu but will become aware it as they check out the other services available on their device.

If you own multiple VUDU streaming devices on one account (up to 5), you are able to purchase a movie and stream that movie on any device that is under the same account at no additional cost. This is a new feature on the VUDU service for streaming devices.

The same option is available for the VUDU set-top box. If you own multiple VUDU set-top boxes on one account, you are able to purchase a movie and then download it to all the other boxes on the account at no additional cost... Are you in movie heaven now?

                Thank you Adam. Well, almost.

Can you stream a "rental" movie on another device (same account of course) if it's within the 24 hour viewing period?

Also, once a movie is added to the stream library, will it stay till the end of time and if so will it always be available in HDX format if it was originally available in that format?

Sorry to move the goal posts on you.

This feature was released Q4 in 2009.

Keep in mind that it is only available on purchases, not rentals.

Does it apply to previously purchased content?
