Vudu Forum Guidelines

The Vudu Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Vudu experience. Here, Vudu customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Vudu and Vudu -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Vudu customers with questions and/or problems with their Vudu service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Vudu Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

Please post all comments in English. When posting a comment in the Vudu Forums, please conduct yourself in a respectful and civil manner. While we respect that you may feel strongly about an issue, please leave room for discussion.

Vudu reserves the right to refrain from posting and/or to remove user comments, including comments that contain any of the following:

1. Obscenities, defamatory language, discriminatory language, or other language not suitable for a public forum
2. Email addresses, phone numbers, links to websites, physical addresses or other forms of contact information
3. "Spam" content, references to other products, advertisements, or other offers
4. Spiteful or inflammatory comments about other users or their comments

    I was wondering if the new thing coming called VUDU apps, is going to be available for settop boxes??

    You do have access with the BX100 to a lot of VUDU apps. Also you have the option to partcipate in the public beta of the "Brazil" which also has VUDU apps. You can register by following the instructions in this link:

      I have the VUDU XL in my family room and have a regular VUDU box packed away. When I hook it back up, will the box be updated to get these apps..

        Yes once the VUDU updates itself to the current software you will have applications like:

        Pandora
        YouTube
        On Demand TV shows from the internet
        Flickr
        Picasa
        etc....

        If your XL is up to date you should also see these application on that VUDU.

          Thanks Ron. I get all those apps. I was under the assumtion that the new apps would be there like facebook etc....all those new ones.

              I haven't yet Ron. I hear there is alot of bugs that need to be worked out.....how much better is it than the sofware I am running now??

                It will allow you to instant stream HDX content is one of the features I like. One thing I think you missed is that you can go back an forth between "Brazil-The public beta" and "Amadeus-Your current STB environment". There are menu options that lets you choose.
