Yesterday I discovered that, at my request, Brazil had been made available on my vudu. I have one of the original set top boxes. My internet connection is thru AT&T, wired, and has a download speed of 5.1 Mbps.
Excited to try out the new software I rented a movie and started to watch. Thirty minutes into the movie the screen went blank and the vudu rebooted. This happened 2 more times at about 30 minute intervals.
When I called support to resolve this problem I was told that since vudu no longer manufactures these boxes they are not continuing to work out the bugs in this Beta version of Brazil and that they now direct their efforts toward the version of Brazil that is embedded in the newer equipment being released. I was further advised that Brazil may never work correctly on my vudu so I may be forced to have them roll it back to Amadaus.
In reading this forum I get the impression that others have encountered this same problem but managed to get it resolved so that the legacy machines will work correctly with Brazil. I may have been unlucky enough to reach a support person that did not know what he was talking about or did not want to take the time to figure out what the problem was.
For those of you who have one of the original vudu boxes, and have installed Brazil and have experienced the same problem, or someone at vudu who cares, can you give me some assistance in resolving this problem so I can use Brazil without this annoying problem.
