The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience.     Bad Hardrive - Lost Movies

    I found out today that my hard drive is most likely bad. I have watched a total of 31 movies on it. I have purchased movies as well. I was told that VUDU does not provide boxes any more and also that all the movies I purchased are now GONE!!! What a joke this is. Why would you purchase a movie and then have your hard drive quite with no way of getting your money or movies. I was a huge fan up until today. I would advise everyone not to purchase movies on VUDU. Unless there is something I am missing here.... If so I am mor:made than willing to listen.....

      thesees issues were broought up years ago. I'm still glad I decided to purchase My VUDUs. But I knew of this possible problem a long time ago before I decided to purchase.

        It is still a bummer though that is why I am hoping they work out a deal to transfer your Amadeus rights over to Brazil.

          This is something that we are working towards, I do not have a specific date of when it will be available, but it is one of our high priorities.

              I own a STB and must confess I don't understand what this statement means. Can anyone elaborate?

                Amadeus is the software on the STB that allows for download of movies i.e the original software. Brazil is the software found on the internet enabled devices e.g Blu-ray players and TVs. Brazil stores your purchases in the cloud and allows you to access them from any Brazil enabled device associated with your account.
                For example I have two STBs and a Blu-ray player. One STB is running Amadeus the other Brazil. When I buy something on the STB running Brazil I can also watch it on my Blu-ray player. If I purchase something on the STB running Amadeus I can only download and watch it on that STB. If that STB fails then I lose all of those movies and TV shows.
                That is why I hope they work out a deal to allow me to transfer all of my Amadeus purchases to the cloud. Then I would not have to worry about losing my collection and i would be able to watch them in all of the rooms where I have Vudu boxes.
